Gnarls Barkley is an outstanding and soulful project which historical evidence credits to Cee-lo Green and DJ Danger Mouse.
Their first album under this moniker is called St. Elsewhere and the first single Crazy dominated the charts in Summer 2006, becoming the UK's first number one hit thanks to downloads alone.
Defying conventions through unforgettable songs and music videos, Gnarls Barkley often appear in costume, making their identity even more suspect.
Gnarls Barkley - New Video!
New video for "Who Cares", starring Mario Van Peebles. It looks like Gnarls Barkley have become creatures of the night and become familiars of Dracula. Will we ever see them again, if we ever did in the first place?

Crazy - Video and First Single by Gnarls Barkley
Does Gnarls Barkley exist only as an animation? They do in this winner of MTV's 2006 Video Music Awards for Best Directing and Best Editing.
New Video! Gone Daddy Gone
This time Gnarls Barkley is computer animated as bugs! Some said they looked more life-like in this video than in previous ones. Could it be? Are you kidding?

Gnarls Barkley's Next Album

NME reports a new GB album is in the works. I never believe anything I read in print though. Especially obituraies. Elvis had an obituary.
"We've started to throw some ideas around, and we've started on some rough demo stuff. But it's still a little way away," explained Danger Mouse of the duo's work so far. "But we want to make the record sooner rather than later - just go in there an continue what we're doing."

Here one of the duo appears in disguises again.

Feel Good Inc. - Gorillaz Video
Smash hit 2005 single produced by DJ Danger Mouse for the Gorillaz album Demon Days. Gorillaz are also a mysterious kind of band, only represented as animated characters. The thing is I found two animators with "Barkley" in their name. And that was just from calling through the phone book for Hollywood.
DJ Danger Mouse
Born Brian Burton, DJ Danger Mouse is a producer and DJ who first became well known for The Grey Album, an unauthorized mix of the Beatles "White Album" to raw Jay Z vocal tracks. In 2005 he produced Gorillaz' hit album "Demon Days", which earned him a Grammy nomination for Producer of the Year. He also worked with rapper MF DOOM on the collaboration "DANGERDOOM". Photographs reveal him on stage with Cee-Lo as Gnarls Barkley's keyboardist. But it could be any guy in an afro wig that they hired to sit on stage. You can find the used Gnarls Barkley afro wigs on Ebay once in a while. If you're lucky.
Soul Food - Goodie Mob video
Cee-Lo's original hip-hop group, Goodie Mob, released their first album Soul Food in 1995. He has since disappeared from the group.
Goodie Mob, featuring Cee-Lo
One of the most popular hip hop acts to come out of the Dirty South and the Hotlanta scene which Outkast rose from. Cee-Lo formed the group in 1991. I've noticed that you can easily turn a "C" into a "G", and an "L" into a "B". Think about it.

Gnarls Barkley - Crazy Star Wars Tribute
Performed at the 2006 MTV Movie Awards, Gnarls Barkley pay homage to Star Wars in this live performance of "Crazy". I had early concept art and animation for Star Wars which I once considered the birth of Gnarls Barkley. It disappeared. I think I was the victim of a Jedi mind trick at some point.
