Smart also appeared from the 10 new releases a year now. I am one of the original owner of the smart. 4 years ago, pre-owned car at 10,000 km K Smart purchased. Was also worried that trouble in the first import car, now without any major problem as I thought the mileage and has been running without a hitch over 60,000 kilometers. Ever since the purchase, and enjoy ROMUCHUN and dress up, one way to home from Kumamoto Prefecture, Chiba Prefecture in 1300 and currently lives and experiences long-range drive over the miles. Purchased four cars from the continued attraction in years now.
About MCC Smart, Please note that due to my prejudice and dogma. This car is a car that is very controversial there. But that is not how good or bad, for some, just that we do not judge the quality or fit lifestyle. Criterion is to choose a car by people like you, think of what others will think to look at, I think the beginning of life to choose a car fun car to fit your lifestyle first.
Smart, expressing individuality, not simply move tool (fashion) is also a tool. Integrated into a fancy car in the parking lot of a luxury hotel in the convenience store parking lot is not the case. Or participate in it should take off from the car, and hangs from a stranger's voice along the way, the number of different meetings. (^ ^)
I have had the experience of previous test car auctions. Than the average person has seen the car in various states. We hope to help MORAETARA your car's life are written and how to spot a car accident and I felt at that time.
When you buy a car used car auction in acting than the retail price depending on the model 300000-200 Do you know that you get less than 10,000?
About the car hobby, "making" hobbies
Metal, production methods REJINKITTO is so accurate that I do for my own favorite, and not necessarily the answer. This hobby is interrupted every three years ago, which was recently revived. Yet to complete a comeback from the units have not been, for me, the hobby is the pleasure you feel like returning to childhood. The future of the dream of building a model around the room is equipped BATCHIRI. Recently, the paint booth in a room, buy a compressor and paint RAJIKONBODI, began production.
Recently, radio control, so more of my time to pure (ROKKUKURORINGU) have been inspired to create the interest in old and dear PURAMO the Bottoms. Not only car-related hobbies, like "make" I'll try to be interested in the genre. Hobbies are also part of this Website by the way. (^ ^)
About Fashion
Another hobby is clothes (fashion). KODAWARI have so little experience of previous work in the clothing. At the time, was a streak of good shopping for clothes like a real idiot, right. Thanks to that a little seems like I could develop an eye for clothes. If you love car trouble, but also KODAWARITAI clothes! 20 was perfect in its own way even if they wear their clothes all 30 choices are the same age and are seen to be strange%u82E5%u4F5CRI. The topic or wear brand preference, we would like to introduce and implement a coordinated and smarter ways to enjoy on the cheap as possible. I am selling it for the clothes%u7740NAKU Auctions, Yahoo Auctions and buy the clothes you want with that money. You can often change clothes wardrobe every year by using cheaper Auctions. And fashion is always shifting. The smart money so KAKENAKU (SMART) is fun! I can coordinate with the new fully convinced that the brand but unable to get it. If you are buying clothes made of the same amount, I want the best of my favorite clothes again.

How Safe is Your Smart Car?

The designers of the Smart Car used the laws of physics to manufacture a smarter and safer smaller automobile that takes vehicle safety to the next level. Upon collision, the Smart responds unlike your larger, conventional car. The sphere-shaped geometry of the Smart's "tridion safety cell " is an aluminum safety-enclosure with steel reinforcements designed to maintain its shape like the crash-cage of a Formula 1 racecar.
Smart Cars of America recognizes the redesigned Smart Fortwo as one of the safest small cars available. Redesigned from the pavement up to its roof, the Smart Fortwo is more comfortable, more agile, and most importantly a much safer smart car.

We are aware there must be an instructive and informative course of action to assure the American driving public that this tiny vehicle is safe.
For starters the Smart car only has two people to worry about and worry they did!
All research and investigation shows the newly redesigned Smart Fortwo, affords superior active and passive safeguards for all occupants.
Active and Passive safety are two essentials to all vehicle safety issues.
Active is the ability of your car to elude an accident in the first place. Passive is the ability of your vehicle to survive a collision and protect us from harm.
The new Smart Fortwo has incorporated safety measures proved to save lives and cause fewer injuries. Though ultra-tiny, the Smart ForTwo provides space, luxury and protection features found in high end luxury cars.
Your Smart Car's safety features take charge when there's a crash: seat belts pick-up slack, airbags inflate, crash boxes crinkle and seats soak up shock.
The car also includes electronic tightening devices otherwise known as "pretensioners", which automatically tighten the seatbelts in milliseconds keeping occupants snuggly in place throughout impact.
Elevated seats allow you to stay on top of complicated circumstances. Because of the raised positioning of the seats the passengers are normally beyond the direct exposure zone on side impact.
And the driver has a better view. Also the steering column has been designed to retract telescopically upon impact. The rear engine also protects the passengers.
The cars wheels absorb impact and act like mini safety rings. The doors have integrated side-impact resistant aluminum struts.
The Smart features two collision boxes. The one in front reinforced with transverse members and slip tubes, and the rear box featuring an aluminum support.
The longer wheelbase has wider tracking, and a front suspension system that now gives additional stability in a hard left or hard right situation, added space between the wheels allowed for a quicker steering. Assisting you in avoiding that near miss!
Furthermore, new head and thorax side airbags offering extensive protection in the event of a side crash are available as an option.
The Smart car's Tridion safety cell absorbs the impact energy of the oncoming vehicle or stationary object. Like our rib cage and chest shelters our heart, the Tridion safety cell protects us from harm. The steel housing is reinforced with high-strength steel at the strategically important points and distributes the impact energy evenly over the safety cell. Even under heavy-duty force, there's nothing to pierce the passenger cell and panels will not splinter.
The Smart car's polycarbonate (changeable) body panels show little or no damage after low-speed collisions or from parking lot mishaps. A complete body panel freshen up costs no more than having a fender re-sprayed on many cars.
For Smart protection of our environment is second only to our safety. Only water-soluble, solvent-free base coat are utilized for the Smart Fortwo's synthetic body panels.
The Tridion safety cell is powder coated and no solvents are needed here, either. The body panels are fully recyclable.
When a collision occurs at up to 9 mph the front crash box (which can be replace easily) absorbs the energy of impact to protect the TRIDION frame. That can be very costly to replace. At faster speeds the front section and front wheels buckle in sequence.
With an overall five star rating for environmental performance, the Smart Fortwo leads the Australian Government's Green Vehicle Guide.
Now Australia's most environmentally friendly Smart Fortwo has taken the top spot in NRMA's low speed crash test program for the second year running. NRMA stands for national road and motorists association and provides online help and advice for motoring or traveling by road in Australia.
They report the Smart Fortwo costs less to repair after a low speed accident than any other car sold in Australia, according to crash data they released.
How the Smart Car Works

The Smart Car began with Nicolas Hayek, the man who invented Swatch watches. He wanted to make a small car that would be fuel efficient, environmentally responsible and easy to park in small spaces. The Swatch Company collaborated with Daimler-Benz (after a failed venture with Volkswagen) to create the first City Coupe under the company name Micro Compact Car (MCC). Development began in 1994, and the first car was unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 1997. The MCC went on sale the following year, but Hayek was disappointed with the use of a conventional engine -- he'd wanted a hybrid or pure electric motor -- and the price of the car, which was higher than expected. When initial sales were slow, Swatch pulled out of the partnership, leaving Daimler-Benz (now DaimlerChrysler) full owner of the Smart division. Today, Smart is part of DaimlerChrysler's Mercedes group.
When you see the Smart Car, the first thing that you notice is its size. The City Coupe (renamed the "Fortwo" once Smart began releasing other models), is only 8 feet, 2.5 inches long, less than 5 feet wide and about 5 feet tall. (In comparison, the original Hummer H1 is over 7 feet wide.) That means that instead of parallel parking in line with other cars, a Smart Car can back right up to the curb. Two or three Smart Cars can park that way in a single curbside parking space.
In the next sections, we'll look at what that small size means in terms of safety and gas mileage.
Smart Grid & Smart Cars
David Kaplan, VP of Electric Vehicle Management at GridPoint, described some of the features of their product, which might be described as enterprise software for the smart utility, which in order to function needs to be implemented not only at the utility, but requires modules that operate on client platforms such as large home appliances, home electricity meters, and electric vehicles.
For example, the owner of an electric vehicle will recharge the battery when the car is parked at their home, but they may also use remote charging stations. But because wherever the car gets recharged, both the car and the charging station are in direct communication with the utility, as Kaplan puts it, "our goal is for the owner to get one bill regardless of where they charge their vehicle, because the charge points in public spaces will use our system to provide a roaming charge, appearing on a single bill."
When asked how much GridPoint's software may add to the price of the car, Kaplan said "we think the amount is small, the ultimate aim is eventually to have the technology footprint on the car be 100% software."
Kaplan also noted "there could be incentive programs to the owner where if they do smart charging they get better electricity rates."
The notion of "smart charging" is an area where vehicles can actively participate in load balancing on the power grid, eliminating the need for new investment in "peaking" electric power plants that only operate during times of high electricity demand. Using cars to store electricity and return this power to the grid - almost as a personal energy arbitrage agent for every vehicle owner - is not necessarily practical, primarily because the differential between peak rates and off-peak rates for a consumer will not translate into enough arbitrage profits to justify the wear caused by cycling the automobile battery between charged and discharged states.
Even if cars are only charged and discharged for the exclusive purpose of driving, however, controlling when these cars are charged can greatly reduce loads on the grid. Instead of arriving home every evening and plugging the EV in to begin charging for the next morning's commute - precisely during peak demand - a smart car will wait until after prime time, after the millions of electricity guzzling flat screen TVs are off for the night, for example, and then begin its charge cycle. Smart discharging into the grid may not make sense for the owner of an EV, but smart recharging helps everyone - the EV owner pays off-peak rates, and the utility avoids having to build a peaking power plant.
To make this possible, EVs require power management systems that include IP addressable devices that can communicate with charging stations, and in-turn, with the electricity utility. GridPoint is at the forefront of this effort. Kaplan noted they are working closely with several around the U.S., including Seattle City Light, Austin Energy, Duke Energy, and several others to be announced later this year. Gridpoint is also working with automakers, including General Motors, whose Chevy Volt is probably the closest vehicle with an all-electric drivetrain to mass production.

To view an actual demonstration of the ability of GridPoint's software to allow a utility to remotely control the rate of charging of an individual EV battery pack, view this GM/GridPoint Smart Charging Demo video.
