Healthiest Dogs | Go Natural Dog Food
Have the series of dog food recalls made you go natural dog food. I mean were you as frightened as I when you heard that dogs actually died due to contaminated dog food. It helped scare me straight to go natural dog food. I had already found out that the dog food industry was not looking out for my dog's interest. You see I had already learned that dog food was a cheap product that was manufactured in slum like conditions. The end result is tainted dog food. I do not mean tainted to the point of a recall being necessary. I mean tainted to the point where the dog food was getting by inspection officials and making its way to stores through out the U.S. Did you know that deadly chemicals have been found in dog food? It happened, because dog remains were added to dog food from dogs that were put to death by injection. WOW! That is what I said and that should make any dog owner go to natural dog food. It does take planning, but with the guide below I learned how.
Foods to Avoid When You Go Natural Dog Food
When I committed to feeding my dog natural dog food I did not realize the commitment I would have to make. I had to get a complete education on an array of topics. One of the most important was foods to avoid (this can be breed specific). Luckily I found a good source to direct me. See the guide below.
Here are some of the foods to avoid when you go natural dog food:
- Onion
- Nuts
- Raisins or Grapes
- Chocolate
- Alcohol
- Honey
- Artificial Sweetners (In gum etc.)
- Other foods specific to a dog or breed
While I have learned about various foods to avoid I have also learned about foods to keep in moderation as well and foods that really can be very benefical.
Beneficial Foods When You Go Natural Dog Food
Some foods are better suited for dogs than others. Usually these are the foods that allow you to go natural dog food. I once read about a dog owner who gave a dog to many green beans and the dog got sick. The owner learned the dog could eat green beans, but it had to be in moderation. It seems the dog would eat them until he was very sick, because he loved green beans. Sounds human doesn't it. Just like me an ice cream, cake, cookies and all the other sweets you just can't get enough of. Many people feel their is no difference with raw meat and cooked meat for dogs. Their is as I learned from the guide. See the link below for more on this and other golden nuggets like:
- Egg shells
- Whole grains
- Highly processed foods
This guide has been an instrumental aid in my dog as well as my life. See the link below if you would like to give your dog the best.
