Goal $1000 A Month

A thousand dollars can either seem like a whole lot or not much. It depends on your point of view and current income level. Right now my income is very small and I have been unemployed for nearly 2 years. That thousand could mean being able to pay bills and not go further into debt. The goal however is to get out of debt and be able to pay for things.

Goal 1 $1000 a month REACHED.

I know make over $1000 a month. However that pays the bills and does not pay much else.

Goal 2 $1000 per income stream per month

The goal of this lens is about growing several income streams from little into $1000 a month. Currently in August 2011 that means taking 3 possible income streams and turning them each into $1000 per month income. The current three income streams are below.

Eventually there will be 5 or 6 income streams, but currently the focus will be small until the first streams are established.There will be updates and new goals and objects. So this post will grow and change over time.

Why not make income from one source?

By making money from a variety of sources you do not have to worry if one system doesn't earn as much or fails completely. With three income streams in place, if one slows dramatically or stops, you have two other income streams to help. It is far easier to add or rebuild a profit center when you continue to have income. Many people were hurt economically in the recession because they depended upon one or two income sources. Building income with multiple methods and keeping those income sources diverse will help keep income flowing.

Why Does Your Goal Matter to Me?

You may wonder why my goal matters to you. You have goals and dreams as well. Many of your goals and dreams require money. Perhaps you are have the desire to work from home. Since you are reading this, you probably do have a goal to add $1000 a month to your income. Yet even better than a single $1000 income is creating $1000 per month per profit center.

Reading this, clicking on links, purchasing products I recommend, helps me reach my goal. It also helps you, because this will have multiple income streams posted and updated. Choose the methods that work for you. Learn from what I learn. Help me and your comments and recommendations can help others. This is where dreams come true not only for yourself but for others as well.

Do You Know The Facts?

SMART goalHaving a goal of making $1000 a month per income stream is great. A goal without plans is not going to get you anywhere. Applying criteria will help you reach the goal, one such criteria is SMART, Specific, Measurable, Appropriate, Realistic and Timely.

Specific. A goal like "make more money" is vague. Your goal should be specific. My goal is $1000 per month between the income streams, then $1000 per month per income stream.

Measurable. You can measure the objectives involved, even if not specifically. What will it take to reach that goal? With the Real Cards it would take roughly 10 new customers per month.

Appropriate. It should be something you want to do, so you will work toward it. In my case, I enjoy photography. I would not enjoy trying to turn it into an income and all the work would take the joy out of snapping candids.

Realistic. If the goal is not realistic then you can not reach it. The measurable numbers can be reached, it will take time, but they are possible.

Timely. I will make $1000 per month with combined current 3 income streams by May 15th, 2011. That's four months from now. By January 1st 2012, I will be making $1000 per month per income stream on 4 income streams.

Now make your goals, SMART! Specific, Measurable, Appropriate, Realistic and Timely.

    Goal setting is so important. I make a good income from my job but would love to quit and stay home and still have an income. Someday I'd like to retire. Making money doing something I love doing, writing, would be wonderful.

    Nice insight on multiple streamsof moolah! I too had my primary income dry up over a year ago, thank God for a pension and residual income from my Pre-Paid Legal home business income stream which takes the financial edge off. Those extra hundred dollars here and there come in handy. Keep it up and always have goals!

    Multiple income streams are a must, depending on one source of income is dangerous today, in a moment it can disappear. Learned this the hard way, but I keep my head up and have set goals to increase my earning from several eggs! It feels better knowing if one source dries up you still have something to work on... Great lens and a lot of inspiration and information.

Real Cards Real SimpleWith most jobs you get paid X dollars to work per hour or per week. If you are sick, if you are lucky you have sick leave that pays the same, otherwise you do not make money. Most sales people make X percentage of sales. Perhaps you have a service job. You get paid X amount per job again if you are sick you do not get paid. With any of these you may or may not have income for vacations, but certainly your income does NOT grow while you are not working.

Residual Income is different. When you work 40 hours a week until you get income, then you can take time off and the income will continue to be there and perhaps even grow. Continue to work to get to a profit you want, then you could drop down to less time working and your income will continue to grow. Now you can have vacations, sick days, family days, friend days, and work less and still have income.

Real Cards Real SimpleMany people worry about how to share a business with others. Income depends on someone buying something from you, be it a product or a service. Yes, your skills are a service, your crafts are a product. Now imagine if you earned an income, just by giving. Not only do you make a living through giving, you can make a living by multiple income methods and build residual income. The income by working once and getting paid over and over.

Send Real Cards Real Simple.

Yes, we often forget to send cards for birthdays, graduations, anniversaries and more but we forget. You may not like the hunt of finding the cards, the address, the stamps, and such. This system works amazingly simple and allows you to send real cards, real simple. Your friend or family member will get a real card in the mail. You can also include pictures inside or even on the front of the card. Should you need to send a gift you can do that as well.

But how does this make money?

Fortunately it makes money in a variety of ways. You have a store, where people can buy individual cards and gifts from you. Other people who will send cards regularly may want to become retail customers. The cards and gifts are cheaper. They can add their own handwriting, pictures and more.

Realtors, car dealers and others who like to use relationship marketing can become wholesale customers, this will include being able to include pictures and their prices are even cheaper than retail customers. When anyone buys from you, you make money. Then others want to make money as well. They become entrepreneurs and when they make money so do you!

Are You Crafty or Creative?

Many people are creative, crafty or handy. With a little bit of thought you can find a way to make money with that skill. Then find time to add your crafts into your schedule and turn it into an income stream. There are plenty of stores out there that gladly sell crafts and take care of billing, even websites. This allows you to focus on producing your craft and shipping it.

Many stores you probably have heard of, such as eBay.com or Etsy.com. Other stores like eCrater.com and ShopIt.com are ones you may not. But there are plenty of other options as well. Although there are actually a few companies like Zazzle here, which allow you to simply create designs and they produce the product.

Do You Need A Change?

Change for Success

No one really enjoys change but sometimes change is necessary. Do not be afraid to change, even if you have worked for years on building something. If it is not working or not working like it should, change it. If the profit margin decreases or the company you are working with does not advance with the times, change.

While my old store still exists, changing to new store has been a very good move. The old store still exists. The two stores combines will allow me to reach my goal, even if I spend more time working with the new store.

Should You Do What You Love?

Do what you must to stay motivated.

If your goal is only income when problems arise, it will be hard to stay motivated. When you are trying to build an income; especially an income to replace a job, you are going to need to stay committed to it. When things happen it will be far easier to lose interest if income does not flow like you expect.

If you do what you love without considering income, then you can not be surprised when it does not make income. You must find the intersection between doing what you love and what will make money. Perhaps your intersection looks far away, this is where and why you want to build multiple income streams. You work your main earners more to make up for the one that will either take a while to grow or never be as big as the others.

My Passion

I love to write, my goal is to make money as an author. For it to reach $1000 a month will take time and work. This means this income stream must be one of several. The goal here is to make money with Squidoo, ebooks, and a published book. To keep this updated I will show my current stats.

Can a Blog Help?

Discussion and Other Benefits.

It can present products in general and discuss your store. You have a different avenue to discuss topics of interest that are related to the store that might not fit with the store. Some storefronts do not have a blog attachment or way to update your customers this is where this comes into play. Plus you can add other income methods

Autoresponder This will allow you to email customers who request more information. Then you can update them about changes and new products.

Additional links The blog allows you an additional link and connection to your store. Search engines will see this outside link and help both rank better. It also gives your potential clients another way to find you. The more ways to find you, the more ways they will come to your store or website and spend money or time with your goods.

Cross Promote You can also cross promote on occasion. They may want to do business with you in other aspects, not just the one, or with other people you may want to have as partners.

A WordPress Review Theme

If you want to make money as a writer, then reviewing Amazon products is one way to make money or you can hire out the the writing of reviews. You may want to create review sites and sell them to others.

While WordPress blogs make it easy to quickly create new pages they are not set up quite right for Amazon reviews. The Updates

IncomeIn January 2011, I went from 1 lens to 8. There were no designs in Zazzle and now there are over 60 pages, the current income in Zazzle is $4.31 and CafePress earned $22.31. Real Cards Real Simple had one prospect but no buyers.

February 2011, the plans are to add 6 more lenses, so far one has been added. Zazzle will need to have over 100 pages of designs by the end of the month. There will not be as much time to devote to lens and design creation as I was hired to write reviews for some clients. Also I hope to have the first draft of the long awaited book. Also I have 4 prospects for Real Cards Real Simple.

August 2011 Sorry I have not updated. In April I accepted a job and regularly make over $1000 a month as a website coder. I am taking in other clients and continuing to write when I can. There are 19 lenses now and some are product reviews. As the goal to make $1000 per month via multiple streams is still the goal, I need to get back to working like crazy.

    My goal on Squidoo is to create 2 lenses a week in 2011. That's 104 lenses and I have a good start on it.

    After 2 years of focusing elsewhere I am back creating lenses with a vengeance. I have just over 90 and am aiming at Giant 100 by the end of March. It doesn't matter whether it's articles, lenses, Zazzle designs or whatever - the more the better. The more you have, the more chance of getting noticed, and the more chances for those trickles of income to build up. Wishing you luck and success.
