GoDaddy "Registration Process Expired" Error Fix
The expiration message
Registration Process Expired
Your domain names are already in your cart or your session has expired following 20 minutes of inactivity. Please check your "Cart" or click on "Domains" above to restart the purchase process.
If this message appears, it happens after you find an available domain name, add it, then click "proceed to cart" and move through the next screen that asks if you want additional services (and click "no thanks" at the bottom). That's when this message shows up. If you do what it suggests and click "Cart", it will simply say that your cart is empty. If you click "Domains," it will show that you have one pending domain that needs registration, along with a "proceed to cart" button which will simply show the same expiration error message if you click it.
Measures to take:
- Clear your browser's cache (temporary internet files)
- Clear all Godaddy cookes (or simply clear all cookies if you want)
- Add http://*.godaddy.com and https://*.godaddy.com to your browser's list of "trusted sites"
- Set your browser security settings to "Low" or "Medium-Low." (Later, if the issue still arises, turn off your browser security entirely and try it again, but don't forget to turn it back on later).
- Make sure you are using the most updated version of your browser(s)
- Restart your browser
- Login to GoDaddy with your username/password before searching for or adding a domain to your cart
Use the Browser Tool
"I've done all of the above and it still won't work!"

- This might be the most helpful tip of all as it has worked 100% of the time for me - I've tested it numerous times with GoDaddy's "Registration Process Expired" issue. Do all of the steps outlined in my "Measures To Take" section above, then "add" the available domain name to the cart. Click the "proceed to cart" button, and a popup screen will appear (see screenshot directly above this paragraph), where Godaddy attempts to persuade you into buying your desired domain name in other extensions.
Select the one that suggests that you also purchase the .net, .org and .info. Once you click this, you'll most likely be able to move forward to the actual checkout procedure. When you get to the appropriate step, you can simply click "remove" next to the .net, .org and .info, and only buy the .com (don't forget to do this, or you'll be paying for the .net, .org and .info as well!) - Always make sure that you log out of GoDaddy first; then, log in, and then make your purchase. I've found that when I open my browser, visit GoDaddy and attempt to buy something while already logged in, that this issue arises.
