Saving the planet, one shirt at a time

Going green is on the minds of many people across the globe. It must be done to preserve our earth for future generations. I wanted to find a way on the internet to make a difference a little bit at a time. I designed the go green light bulb you see here to raise money. Who is EarthJustice?

Earthjustice is a non-profit public interest law firm based in the United States that specializes in environmental litigation.

It was founded in 1971 by two volunteer lawyers working with the Sierra Club, Don Harris and Fred Fisher, under the name "Sierra Club Legal Defense Fund", a fully independent organization from the Sierra Club. It changed its name to Earthjustice in 1997 to better reflect its role as a legal advocate representing hundreds of regional, national and international organizations and associations. As of January 2009, the group has provided free legal representation to more than 600 clients ranging from The Wilderness Society, the Natural Resources Defense Council, the National Audubon Society, and the American Lung Association to smaller state and community coalitions, such as the Alaska Center for the Environment and Friends of the Everglades.

It employs about 50 attorneys who represent citizen groups, scientists, fishing organizations, and others in litigation in federal and state courts. Its docket includes precedent-setting cases involving wildlife, national forests, national parks, air pollution, water pollution, transportation, agriculture, and many other matters. The organization has offices in Oakland, California (headquarters); Bozeman, Montana; Juneau, Alaska; Honolulu, Hawaii; Seattle, Washington; Denver, Colorado; Tallahassee, Florida; New York City; and Washington, D.C.

Environmental law defender Earthjustice, the top American ecological law firm, because the earth needs a good lawyer. Formerly Sierra Club Legal Defense Fund.

We at Squidoo passionately believe in creating new ways to support good causes online. By making a donation to Earthjustice from this page, you are sending money directly to that organization, in whatever amount you want. We don't touch it. We don't even see it. The author of this page doesn't either. And if you made it this far, thanks for caring.
