Strategy #1 from Going Natural 2.0

Achieving Google Double Listings

Andy Jenkins from Stompernet has just released video #1 in a supposed series of videos in the coming weeks for Going Natural 2.0.

The video is actually pretty cool and shows a pretty powerful little known strategy to double your Search Engine traffic from Google.

Going Natural 2.0 Double Listing Strategy

If you've got any kind of blog or website, you've probably got a page indexed on the first or second result page of Google for some keyword at least.

Maybe you don't even know about it, but you've probably been listed somewhere. And, you're probably receiving traffic from that listing, especially if it's on the first page for a keyword that gets some good search volume.

So lets think for a second about a pretty good situation you might encounter with going natural 2.0...

You've got a first page listing for a keyword, and it's even got the coveted #1 spot. Great you're probably getting about 25% of the traffic for that particular keyword as studies have shown.

Now three of you competitors are listed under you scooping in some nice traffic too. Positions 1-4, this is the hot area on the Search Engine Optimization heat map.

Then one day you create a similar page to your #1 listing on a similar topic targeting very similar keywords. You've got a couple in-bound links to that page as well. And you notice that Google has listed that page underneath your original #1 listing as an indented listing.

No big deal right? Yes, Huge deal! Just from that additional listing you'll pull in 50% more traffic than normal. Theoretically making 50% (or slightly lower) more sales. Just from this addtional indented listing?

How did it get there? You probably used the magic of Going Natural 2.0 strategy #1 without even knowing it.

But is it even replicable? Yes, absolutely -- Just ask Andy Jenkins from StomperNet.

He's figured out the "the natural 2.0 formula" for easily getting these double listings. And you can get these things for about 1/4 of the effort it took you to get your original #1 listing. Here are the basics.

Going Natural 2.0 basics

You go to your original listing, your "hero" page and check the following three things:

1. Title tag density - the amount of times the keyword you're trying to rank for appears in your title.

2. Title tag keyword prominence - where your keyword appears in the title.

3. On page density - The keyword density on the "hero" page. It's important that you use the same tool for further testing. I suggest SEOQuake.

Creating Your Sidekick Page

Your "sidekick page" is simply your second page you'll create in order to get it to list under your hero page as a double listing. Get it? Hero, Sidekick.. Now you're catching on!

As a starting point...

Your sidekick page will have the following qualities:

1. The title has the same keyword density and the keyword prominence as your hero page.

2. Make the title tag slightly different

Example, the title to this page is:

Going Natural 2.0 | New Killer Natural Web 2.0 Strategies | StomperNet

WHEN I get my sidekick page I might make the title something like:

Going Natural 2.0 | SEO & Natural 2.0 | StomperNet's Going Natural 2.0 Strategy

You notice that the second title has a higher keyword density than the first one. This is because Andy Jenkins from Stompernet suggest that it is possible that you will need to do this. You have to test your titles because every listing will be different. I'm going for this as my starting point.

"Creating New Content"

You're next step is to create some content for your sidekick page. This sidekick page should be optimized for the keyword your are targeting. The guys from Stompernet, Andy Jenkins suggest you start at 7-10% keyword density. Of course, you'll have to test this variable as well!

Building your Natural 2.0 mini Authority Huh

A mini authority hub gets links from and gives links to pages that are similar in topic.

What you want to do now that you've got your sidekick page created it to link to it with the anchor text you want your page to rank for -- from your hero page.

Now from your sidekick page, link back to the hero page with the same anchor text.

Additional notes:

Every page that your hero page links to, you want to link from those pages to your sidekick page. To maximize your total rankings, every page in your site should get links from at least two other pages on your site!

Again this is a starting point. 2 the minimum, but don't go all crazy!

Last Step - Getting Inbound Links to your Sidekick Page

Your final task is to get at least 2 inbound links directly into your sidekick page with the anchor text that you want to rank for.

There's an easy way to do this. One way is to submit articles to sites like GoArticles.com. Sometimes you wont be able to get links with the actual anchor text using these types of directories, but here's a work-around.

When you create your sidekick page, use the keyword that you want to rank for in the file name. This gives even bare links some relevant anchor text.

Okay folks, that's the first episode of Going Natural 2.0. I'm keep a close eye on this thing and will be updating here often. You may want to bookmark this lens (ctrl+d) or even lensroll it if you want.
