Gold Panning. The processes of filtering out gold from the aggregate. Most gold is found as flour gold, that is it's much like flour, very fine. Very small flakes are next and then what the industry calls pickers. Pickers are small nuggets of gold you can pick out of your pan with your fingers. Then of course your nuggets, which you can see right away, shinning and glimmering at you as if to say, you found me!!

Prospecting Rules
Don't be a claim jumper!
Prospecting For Gold. First things first, you must know the rules of prospecting. Number one is knowing if an area is already claimed, that's where the term claim jumper came from. If an area belongs to an existing claim owner, they are required to have claim stakes in all four corners of the claim and at the very least the name of the claim and proper numbers. There are many resourses on the internet for investigating an area before you head out. Also don't forget to have fun!
