I've not read the books, and probably won't. guess I just don't care enough.

rather surprising to me that it was such a box office flop, but I didn't pay a box office to see it, mea culpa

I didn't see it until I got a DVD of it some short couple years after it opened, so its partly may fault they didn't finish the series.
If I had just spent twenty bucks to go see this at the walkin theater, all those people might have been able to stay employed just that much longer.

oh well, I can live with that
