Golden Heart Award

Are you ready? The first 2 recipients were both Americans and try as we might, we could not ignore today's winner. The cards were stacked against us.

You will note that Chief Big Heart is not with us - not after the fiasco he caused during last month's ceremony. Instead I brough my best buddy, Grumpy, who will assit me.

A special thank you to Smokin' Joe for the use of his coffee shop here in Amsterdam. I hope you all enjoyed his city and paid attention to all the "red lights" as you hustled about.

The 3rd recipient of the Golden Heart is someone who has written (and here Grumpy passes the award to me) is ..... What the heck is this !!! Ah, folks, you'd better have another toke while we sort out this problem...

Zut: This ain't a Golden Heart ... it's a bloody Tulip. And it's not even Golden - it's yellow ... close but not close enough.

Grumpy: Yeah, I know but the Dutch aren't the smartest bulbs in the flower shop if you know what I mean. Somebody screwed up our order and there wasn't time to chance it.

Zut: Oh Dear... wonder what we should do?

Grumpy: Pass it off as a Golden Heart. Most of the crowd is American anyway and add to the fact that they are half-stoned right now - they'll never notice. Besides, look who is going to get it, she'll won't know the difference.

Zut: OK I'm glad it wasn't me that said that but let's do it - we don't really have a choice. But I'm still going to call it a Golden Heart. The tradition must go on.

Grunoy: I totally agree.

Please Note: You may find that you were a nominee one month but not the next month. That is because the world is ever changing, and so it goes as well, with the Golden Heart Award selection process. The best way to ensure that you stay as a possible recipient is to keep meeting the criteria to qualify.

This module is pretty simple. It denotes what is current and what has been sent to the archives.

If something is above the tide-water line, then it is current.

Well, it seems TipiGal braved the coldwaters of the Atlantic Ocean and was able to retrieve her Golden Heart Award. That's ther last time that Chief Big Heart will be allowed to handle such a beautiful trophy.

The next Golden Heart will be given out on August 30, 2009. That's because Zut Moon is going on a world tour for the next few weeks. If you are in Greenland, Iceland, Scotland or the Netherlands, have your autograph books handy.

How can you be the one to receive Golden Award No.3? All you have to do is be an outstaniding member of the Squidoo community who has also befriended Zut Moon. By sharing your knowledge with other Squidoo lensmasters and by leaving comments when visiting Zut's lenses, you will give yourself a greater chance of winning.

The list of entrants will be released around August 15th and the ceremonies held 2 weeks later in the polar bear capital of the world,- Churchill, Manitoba.

There are 11 nominees competing for the 2nd Golden Heart Award and what a race it is turning out to be! We predicted that there would be 3 strong runners although anyone could win in the end. What we did not predict was that one from the back stretch would gain so much momentum that they might "nip" everyone at the wire.

The award will be presented on Sunday, July 19th at around Noon ADT.

I reckon you are wondering who the dude in the photo is. Well, he's Chief Big Heart - a professional wrestler from the 60s. Who better to help me in deciding the recipient of the Golden Heart Award! It looks like we have 2 very strong possibilities and another 6 or so who likely will get a Golden Heart in time. Isn't this ever so exciting? We expect to make our final decision by Thursday night.

And remember - be good to Zut Moon - someday you might find you have a Golden Heart !!!

It is important to know that I will not take bribes. We have less than 48 hours to go before the winner will be declared.

Already, people have been sucking up to me, dedicating songs to me on the radio , heck - one person even sent me a bouquet of roses. Where the hell is the case of beer?

The winner of Zut Moon's prestigous Golden Heart Award will be announced around 4PM AST, Thursday, June 25, 2009.

Coming to you LIVE from the luxurious Caribou Conference Centre on Baffin Island in Canada's Far North - we bring you the 1st Monthly Golden Heart Awards.

What a wonderful evening it is here tonight. The temperature is 48F - a real heat wave up here.

What a Gala Event!!! All honored guests have arrived and are seated waiting anxiously for the results. Everything went as smooth as a baby's ass. Well not quite - we had some American bikers arrive waving the US flag in everyone's face. The flags were confiscated but the bikers were allowed to attend provided that they behaved from then on.

We are just waiting for Zut Moon and Chief Big Heart to arrive. Ah, here they are now. We'll give them a chance to settle in and while doing so, we will explain how they determined who should receive the Golden Heart Award. Zut Moon made up a list of 15 people (from both Twitter and Squidoo) whom he felt were leaders among their peers.

With the assistance of Chief Big Heart, he made up tally sheets for each eligible person. Points were given for various aspects which included (but were not limited to) the energy shown by each candidate, the generosity of time and knowledge, personality, interaction with others and above all, the kindness and patience shown directly to Zut Moon.

Each one of them deserves to be have a Golden Heart and in time, perhaps they all will.

Now I give the stage to Zut Moon and Chief Big Heart.

(Zut Moon) Welcome all, to this wonderful gathering to honor someone with a real Golden Heart. It was a most difficult decision to arrive at as everyone is so special. But before we announce the winner, Chief Big Heart would also like to address you.

(Chief Big Heart) What a pleasure it has been for me to assist Zut Moon in this historic event. He too has a Big and Warm Heart and I am happy to have been his friend for the last 30 years. We tallied the points, tallied the points and then tallied them again. Our auditors - Larry, Curly and Moe have confirmed that our point-scoring was unbiased and accurate. Now back to Zut Moon.

(Zut Moon) Thank you , Chief Big Heart. So here we are ... one second ...seems one of the bikers has fallen asleep. Would someone please throw a glass of cold water on him. Thank you!
