Golf club swing speed

If you hit it long and straight fellow golfers have always said you have clubhead speed. If you hit it long or short and wide, fellow golfers have always said you swing too hard.

Tiger comes along and "they" say he has incredible clubhead speed, he does not swing hard. My foot.

Now what I have said for years is the distance in golf can be found on the clubface!!! Not in the speed.

I've been using the simple swing system to increase my swing speed skills a lot.

Golf club swing speed

Clubhead speed comes from the speed of the arms, yes the lower body plays a role however I think you should start by working up some arm speed.

How do you do that? You can start by hitting balls with your feet and knees touching each other. This will train you on using your arms more. Make sure you make normal golf swings, no compensations.

The next thing you could do is buy a speed stik or hittable driver. They are both very good for building speed in the swing another thing I've been using in my golf career is the simple swing system , it's easy to use and a lot of people have used this before..

Golf club swing speed tip

Lay a club aiming where you want the golf ball to travel. Now, lay a towel down closer to the ball (inside the club line). Make the towel an arc, curve the towel and hit some balls near the towel.

Don't overpower on the downswing or change the speed i.e. slow backswing and really try to accelerate the club on the downswing.

2 valuable golf club swing speed hints

#1 Hit balls with your feet and knees touching each other, FULL SWING...do not compensate because your feet and knees are touching. This one will take you 100 shots to start feeling comfortable. Twenty balls with your feet touching, twenty balls normal swing, back and forth.

#2 I know this one is not cheap but see if you can buy a used HITTABLE driver. Speed stick is another great idea.

Golf club swing speed simple swing system review

Hi, just recently have been using the Simple Swing by David Nevogt. I see it says you have joined together, because of similarities. I am doing the setup as stated and the part that gets me - when I have the club parallel in front of me and drop to approximately waist height actually lower and then bend at hips until club touch's ground to maintain the 90 degree angle with my spine, the toe of my club is very high. I actually hit this method for about 80 balls and it works real well but, while I'm doing this I think it may look funny and unconventional. I guess everybody has a different body build and my arm length possibly may seem to me a little long compared with my body height. I am what I thought close to average height at 5'10" with standard lie clubs. The simple swing system said that I should use flat Lie clubs and now I have accomplished a lot more.
