Golf Clubs for Beginners
Are you a beginner at the great game of golf? Then allow me to introduce you to the golf clubs.
There are several different types of golf clubs in a typical golfer's bag. There are woods, irons, wedges and a putter, and sometimes utility clubs or hybrids.
Woods - The #1-wood driver and 3- and/or 5-wood fairway woods are the typical woods in a set
Irons - Irons are used for shorter golf shots, ranging from 100 yards to 200 yards. The iron that is used is determined, by the loft of the club head as well as the golfer's ability to hit the ball a certain distance.
A set traditionally includes a 3- through 9-iron.
Wedges are irons. But wedges are often talked about separately, placed in their own category, because they are specialized irons.Gap, Pitching and sand wedges fall into this catory.
Sand wedge (55-57 degree loft). Lob wedge (60-64 degree loft) or a gap wedge (50-53 degree loft)

Putters - There are a number of putters in Market. Such as Blades,Mallets, and Perimeter Weighted Putters.
Blades - Narrow and flat. Give the best feel for the ball when putting.
Mallets - Has a large, rounded head . The weight is usually balanced throughout the club, which provides golfers with a more consistent putting stroke.
Perimeter Weighted - A very forgiving design where the weight is distributed around the edges. Provides for a larger sweet spot because the perimeter weighting stabilizes any slight miss-hits.
Utility clubs/hybrids - Combine features of woods and irons and are best for beginners who may not want to buy too many clubs in the beginning.
If you are just getting starting out, it is a good practise to start with inexpensive club. One you begin to master golfing skills, you can upgrade to higher quality clubs.
