Hybrid clubs have become an increasingly popular choice in golf equipment for both the recreational golfer and those that want a more forgiving and easier to hit alternative to their long irons. Hybrid clubs are great replacements for your 3 and 4 irons. Below are listed several of the hybrids that won the Gold Hybrid designation.

The Adams Idea A7 Hybrid

It's easy to get up into the air and provides great feel with nice clean lines.

Taking top honors in Golf Digest's 2010 Hot List, this standard version of the Callaway Diablo Edge 3 Hybrid has been specifically designed to provide golfers with a more forgiving, distance enhancing alternative to long irons.

By using a 30 percent thinner crown, the Diablo Edge Hybrid allows for a lower center of gravity and its unique sole design will help you make the best shot from a variety of turf conditions. And with this standard model joined by Tour models (with less hosel offset), you'll find a hybrid design that will suit your style of play.

The Cleveland Launcher DST Hybrid

The Launcher DST Hybrid incorporates science into a tour inspired shape. Tour feedback has led to a more blunted toe and symmetrical shape for an extremely appealing look at address.

A dual rail sole design creates a recess section, which reduces turf drag and improves turf interaction, allowing for increased playability from the rough and from poor lies. Two rails on the sole make it easier for the head to glide through rough.

To reduce the club's weight, the Launcher DST comes with a lightweight grip and shaft. (The 74-gram Mitsubishi Diamana Red shaft weighs less than a typical hybrid shaft.). The oversize, plasma-welded face is designed to prevent severe drops in ball speed on toe and heel hits.

The TaylorMade Rescue TP Hybrid

TaylorMade continues its long-running standard of excellence with the men's Rescue TP hybrid club. The Rescue TP is distinguished by its steel pull-face construction, whose high COR promotes a faster ball speed and increased distance.

The club's tour-inspired head shape, meanwhile, is smaller than many competitors, promoting greater confidence and workability for experienced golfers. And players will love the tour-proven clubhead properties, which include a center of gravity that's positioned farther forward and closer to the face to create a low, penetrating ball flight.
