Serve Mango & Avocado "Greens" Salad
Bright colorful & delicious
- Serves: 4
- Prep Time: 10 minutes
Ingredients
- 3 tbsp of sherry vinegar
- juice of one lemon
- 1 tsp of dijon mustard
- 1 tbs of honey
- 1/2 cup of olive oil
- finely chopped shallot
- 1 tsp of chopped mint
- pinch of salt
- mixed greens
- 1 mango cut in small pieces
- roasted pine nuts
- 1 avocado in slices
Instructions
Make the dressing with the first 8 ingredients. Combine & shake it well. Toss the mixed greens with the dressing (or you can let your guests dress their own if you prefer). Arrange the mango and sliced avocado on top. Sprinkle the pine nuts on it and serve.

The John Daly Signature Cocktail
Think of it as a Drunken Arnold Palmer
- Serves: One
- Total Time: 2 minutes
No event is complete without a charming signature cocktail that will be the talk of the event.... or the cause of the talk of the event! This recipe takes a tried and true clubhouse favorite - the Arnold Palmer and boozes it up... a la John Daly. Too many of these easy to drink delights and the guests may just start acting like him!
Ingredients
- 1oz Vodka
- 5 oz Lemonade
- 5 oz Ice Tea
- Lemon Wedges
Instructions
Fill a tall glass with ice. Measure and add an ounce of Vodka. Fill the remainder of glass half full of lemonade, then fill to the brim with ice tea. Top with a lemon wedge. Or, for more decorative appeal, fill a large glass decanter with the recipe in the following percentages one part Vodka to five parts lemonade and five parts ice tea. Label "John Daly" and watch the hilarity ensue.

For our good friend and major golf fanatic's 50th birthday, all the guests were encouraged to wear vintage golf gear.We searched high and low on Ebay and came up with some really funny finds... its amazing how many funky 70's era golf skirts were out there just waiting to be snapped up!
Another option is to ask everyone to wear their argyles. It will be a dizzying colorful delight... give it a spin... John Daly's Loudmouth line is a great place to start.

Every party has a different vibe. Some quiet and demure, others wild and crazy. I designed this theme party to be able to incorporate both. It will work for a low-key luncheon with the ladies in their preppy argyles or a for a evening dance party all Loudmouthed out and breaking the dance floor fueled with the signature cocktail "the John Daly."
