Which Golf Putting Drills Should YOU Be Doing?

Many can tell you that putting is one of the most difficult parts of your game to master. So how do the pros seem to always hole their 20-footers or leave them within inches almost every time? Well they're professionals, but they practice the RIGHT golf putting drills more than any part of your game. So if you're ready to quit embarrassing yourself on the green like I was, then learn the golf putting drills that the pro's are doing that will really improve your putting game...fast.

Read on for some of these golf putting drills that I learned to almost eliminate my three-putting forever...

Simple Golf Putting Drills: Pretend Your Putter is Fragile

The Ultimate Golf Putting Drills Series

Ok, this is one of my favorite of all golf putting drills. It's not really a drill, but a dang important piece of advice you should never leave at home. To achieve the picture-perfect putting stroke to make the most putts, you need to eliminate any muscle-movement in your hands, wrists, forearms, or elbows. This may sound crazy but even the tiniest twitch can take your stroke off target and mean the difference between a birdie or par.

So, pretend your putter grip is very fragile and try to grip it as lightly as possible. Eliminate any tension in your arms and just bring the clubhead back with your shoulders. Try this the next time you're practicing and I promise you'll feel a huge difference!

However, learn the BEST golf putting drills here like I did...

Effective Golf Putting Drills: Putt With Your Eyes Closed

Golf Putting Drills Are More Effective With Your Eyes Closed

To try this golf putting drill, grab a few golf balls, go to the practice green, and take out your putter.

Get about 3-feet (1m) away from the hole, and do everything as you normally would with your set-up. But right before you putt, close your eyes, and then putt.

You may miss quite a few at first, but the goal of this is to establish FEEL in your putting stroke, one of the most important things of all golf putting drills that you can do. But keep doing this until you feel somewhat comfortable with your new "blind" putting stroke.

If you're serious about making more putts and enjoying golf more, then I'd HIGHLY recommend that you check out these simple, effective golf putting drills that I used to learn how to putt better fast!

Golf Putting Drills: This is One of My Favorite

We can all agree that we aren't any more nervous anywhere else on the course than when we're left with a short 3 or 4-footer in front of our friends. I mean, it's so short you must suck if you miss it...wrong! Heck the pro's miss those all the time. So how can you become fearless when facing one of those knee-benders?

Go out to the putting green with 6 or more golf balls. Position them all 3-5 feet away from the hole in a circle/ring. Try to putt them all in without missing one. If you take anything away from this lens, remember to practice this drill a lot. This will ensure that you make most of your short putts.
