How To Get More Golf Club Distance

Get More Distance From Your Clubs

One thing that all golfers seem to struggle with is getting the right distance from their clubs. Most think that buying hybrid clubs wil solve their problem and others are completely hung up on golf club distance charts and seeing if they are hittng as far as their peers. The truth of the matter is that most golfers lack distance because they just aren't swinging correctly. Whether it is on the tee shots or their iron play they never really get their golf swing down to the exact science it needs to be to produce quality shots every time.

Golf Club Distance

Hit that ball like there's no tomorrow.

Thanks to websites like Golf Club Distance golfers are finally coming to the realization that it's not how hard you hit the ball that deterines how much distance you get from a club, but rather it's the speed at which your clubhead makes contact that really sends that thing flying.

There are 5 main factors that influence this:
-balance
- leverage
- arc of the hips
- speed of my hips
-target extension

The easiest one of these to correct is your balance. Eric Jones author of The Five Keys To Distance created a simple practice drill that will tell you if you are properly balanced or not as far as your center of gravity goes..

The idea is simple: adres the ball as you normally would. Now attempt to lift your toes off of the ground. If you can't lift the toes on either foot then your weight is too far forward. If you can easily lift the toes on both of your feet at the same time, then your weight is too far back. The proper result should be that you can only lift the toes on either foot one foot at a time.

Once you've shifted your weight so that you can do that then you've properly adjusted your center of gravity.
