Golf Club Review

As a novice golfer or a pro it is not easy to decide which golf clubs to buy. Should you just start out playing golf, don't go out and buy a set of golf clubs immediately. It is always exiting to start something new, but further down the track you might discover that this game is not for you. To prevent you from throwing a lot of money away a good suggestion might be to rent some clubs at a driving range. Try out friend's or other golfer's clubs. By doing that you get a good feel for different clubs and you can find out which type of clubs suite you.

To have the right clubs is crucial to your game. With the right set of golf clubs you can obtain the confidence and ability to play your best. When you have considered advice from other golfers and gone through different golf club reviews, you still need to think about some personal factors, your style of play, your size and strength when selecting which golf clubs to buy.

A typical set of golf clubs consists of irons, woods and a putter.

There are several types of clubs you can choose from, irons with steel heads, woods with titanium alloy heads, hybrid clubs, putters and wedges.

Traditional irons usually have the club's weight concentrating behind the middle of the weight. This forms the club's ideal place to make contact with the ball. Most golf pros prefer this type of iron because of its control and precision.

Nowadays you can also get cavity-backed golf clubs. Their weight is more evenly spread out around the edges and they are well suited for beginners and players, that don't play regularly.

Then there are woods, traditionally made of wood. Today woods are made with hallow shells, which present a bigger spread of weight. With this fairly new design it might be a bit moor difficult to shape or control the ball.

Now, getting to the putters, there is a huge range of putters from very basic to the far out design. Buying a complete set of golf clubs usually includes a standard putter. Later on you will probably change it to one which is more compatible with the way you are playing.

You could spend a long time choosing a set of clubs, but in the end you have to take the plunge and then develop your game and the skills.
