Golf Fitness Secrets

What every golfer needs to know about golf fitness and performance training
After working in the golf fitness industry for the past 30 years, I have seen nearly every golf exercise and type of golf fitness equipment. And, it is safe to say that most, if not all, exercises and exercise machines that are promoted as 'golf specific' can provide some benefit when they are used properly and supervised by an experienced golf fitness professional.

However, the secret to gaining maximum benefit from a golf fitness program comes from the proper customization and complete integration of the program with the other essential performance factors in golf. Whether you are a beginner golfer or a professional, customization of a golf fitness training program is critical! Generic fitness programs provided from any source, without an individual evaluation, is not only a waste of time and money, but could cause more harm than benefit.
As a licensed physical therapist, I've had to treat many golfers coming to me as patients because they were injured while attempting to perform exercises that they read about in a book, watched on a DVD, saw on the Golf Channel, tried in a group exercise class and/or with their personal trainer ... all without receiving an initial evaluation that identified their unique, golf-specific, physical weaknesses or challenges in posture, balance, flexibility, strength, and/or endurance.

So, here's what you need to do...

Find a golf-specific fitness expert who can:
1) Properly evaluate you.
2) Design and deliver the proper sequence of golf fitness exercises.
3) Help to fully integrate your golf fitness program with your professional golf coach, golf-specific mental training and properly fit equipment.

This is what can make or break your ability to reach your optimal golf performance objectives.

We all easily recognize that baking a cherry pie without one or more of its essential ingredients will not taste very good. Well, the same thing is true with achieving your golf performance goals ... you can't leave out any of the ingredients or skip any steps in the process.

For any golfer to reach their true potential and remain safe doing it, they need to have all of the essential performance factors; professional instruction, golf-fitness training, mental training, and custom club fitting. And, all of the essential factors must be fully integrated in order to have them actually provide the complete, synergistic and beneficial effect that they are intended to provide.

Integration of these factors is easy to talk about in theory but often much more difficult to accomplish in real experience. The best way to accomplish full integration is to find a golf learning and practice facility that provides all of the essential performance factors in one place.

Blending customized professional golf instruction with golf fitness, golf mental training and custom fit equipment in the proper sequencing and with the complete communication between your team of performance specialists will streamline your golf learning experience and optimize your results.

Unfortunately, facilities offering the full range of professional golf performance services under one roof are still rare. But, it is well worth the time and effort it may take to locate the comprehensive golf learning center closest to you as you will ultimately save time and get much better results if you can attend one of these more complete golf learning facilities.

So, like the old Fram oil filters commercial on TV use to say, "You can pay me now, or ... you can pay me later".

In other words, don't cut any corners when getting help with your golf performance. In the end, it will cost you more! And, it is likely that you will never become the best golfer that you can be.

Instead, the secret to reaching your total golf performance goals, safely and efficiently is to... fully customize your program with trained professionals who can effectively integrate their services so that you get the very best results - in your lifetime - guaranteed!
