I play for SDSU golf team and i will definetely try this out.'
My only concern would be under pressure using my hand instead of the larger muscles, but i guess if I could keep my mind busy with numbers or song, trust my subconscious, and have a quick routine I might feel more comfortable and feel less pressure. I will let you know how it works.

    Hi Cameron,
This is a nice lens. In some points I am 100% with you and in some I am not. I love the idea of not using the big muscles because putting's main ingredient is feel, not power. In this one I am with you (even if Dave Pelz discards this idea in 2 lines).
Counting or singing a song while putting is not for me because it would let my subconscious free to let my left elbow pull the ball to the left of the hole but I believe it works for some players.
About not reading the greens I disagree. Perhaps you have a super-power I don't have. I read greens, anticipate the putting line and believe I am doing the right thing. And I got some expertise in breaking putts. I wrote Golf Putting Lines Ebook and several articles on this subject. Please visit my site at www.puttinglines.com and give me feedback because I'd like to keep this discussion going on.

I like your book! I wise master PGA teaching pro, required that all of his students have a pre-shot routine. His philosophy is; the routine serves as a checklist to work through, removing doubt with each step so as to arrive at the ball with but only one thought. Seems similiar to your putting philosophy.
Your number counting tip- If counting numbers isn't working, try a poem or a nursery rhyme.
Most golfers have a signature miss, mine is to the right and short . (I'm a right handed golfer) How does one prevent misses from influencing your next putt? We humans are root cause driven. We tend to figure out why we missed it short right and try to prevent it from occuring the next time. Since most people can't simply forget about it, how do you eliminate the doubt for the next putt? Or more importantly, the urge to fix what went wrong on the previous putt?
    Thanks,
    Dale

I putt very well in practice ,but cannot replicate
it on the golf course, my stroke becomes inconsistent which leads to lack of confidence and this in turn creates a hesitant putting stroke

thanks for that tips .... I am a complete idiot when it comes to putting... i often arrive at the green with a birdie or par chance only to double or triple bogey......I have frequently thought what you have told me in the tips above.. but I'll make it a standard in my next game.... I am averaging 100 at the moment and would give anything to stop the jibes from my mates and drop 10 shots... will keep you posted
