Golf Putting Stance
The golf putting stance is one of the most important parts of the putt. Becasue we are misaligned we miss more putts and as a result shoot higher scores.
If you are aligned 1 inch to the right of where you need to be, that is a guaranteed extra stroke. There is no room for error in putting, it is crucial to our game. Right now putting contributes 50% of our strokes. Now think of how many strokes you can shave if you become a better putter.

Align Properly to Lower Your Scores
"The Coarse Golfer is one who shouts 'Fore!'when he putts" Michael Green, The Art of Coars Golf
Having alignment problems is a major issue. It causes an incorrect swing path and a causes you to modify it in the follow through. This almost guarantees that you will miss every putt. There are two main alignment issues.
Number One: The High Forearm
Whenever you see a player whose rear forearm is too high at address you will also see an inconsistent stroke path, one that tends to move out to in. The putter shaft tends to follow the actions of the shoulders, thus, whenever the rear forearm is too high the shoulders usually align themselves open
Number Two: Lateral Spine Bending
This means that you bend to far foward to throws your shoulders off line and ends up making you have a high rear forearm too.
The Solution
You must audit the following things at address to ensure your "flow-lines" are consistent and accurate:
1.) The spine must be centered and not
leaning excessively one way or the other
2.) The shoulders must be parallel to your
ball's target line
3.) The forearms must be parallel to your
shoulders, as well as, your ball's target line
Use a friend or a mirror to monitor and check these positions if you are putting poorly. I guarantee one or all of these fundamentals are incorrect.

Practice Strokes While Aligned
"Why am I using a new putter? Because the old one didn't float too well. " Craig Stadler(1983)
Something to help you with aligning your putt, is after you read your putt do you practice strokes next to the ball.Stand a few inches from the ball and take your practice strokes and make sure your clubface is parallel left to the line. Now after you get done practicing you can simply move right into the putt already aligned and everything.
