Tips On Perfecting The Golf Swing Path

Going Down the Golf Swing Path
The golf swing path is one of the most important things to learn when taking up golf. It looks very easy when you watch the professionals play the game but you often see them make mistakes and drive into bunkers or rough so never despair if you do not get the golf swing mechanics right straight away.
It is worrying too much about being perfect that makes you tense and grip the club too hard so try to relax and your swing will start to improve.

The Stance and the Golf Swing Path
A good swing starts with a good golf swing stance and the correct grip. This is the platform for the movements to follow. A good golf swing grip is essential to eventually striking the ball correctly. There are different grips and you need to choose the one that suits you making sure that the club is not going to twist during you swing but not gripping it as though you are hanging on for grim death. The stance is important because it dictates the golf swing path that you will follow. Always position the club behind the ball with just your left hand then tilt the body forward to grip with your right hand so that you are in position to make a good swing. When you are in this position relax, waggle your hips and get comfortable. You may think that makes you look silly but the waggling helps your body to relax and relieves any tension you are feeling.
All the preparation is necessary as you will never create a good swing if you are tense and uncomfortable. The first part of achieving a good swing is the golf swing takeaway and if you get that right your downswing should be right too providing you keep your head down and let the body control the swing and not your hands or arms.
We have all seen the golf clown who thinks he is playing baseball and takes an almighty swing at the ball and often misses it altogether. It may look comical but it should also teach you that golf is not just about power but is about controlled power, balance and tempo. Fred Couples is a good example of a relaxed swing. He looks casual but he hits the ball straight and usually accurate and he does it with a casual looking shot.
The Golf Swing Path Video
The golf swing path video that I saw recently was good and there are a lot of these videos available online that show you the golf swing step by step and if you get a friend to video you swing from different handles it gives you the opportunity to compare your swing to a good swing and analyze the differences from grip to stance, to takeaway, to downswing and you should be noting the body position, the arms and, the one thing that most beginners get wrong, the follow through and the pose at the end of the swing. Relax and Enjoy The Game My Friends
It is easy to get carried away with the number of things that can go wrong when you first play golf. There are many sets of clubs in the water discarded by disillusioned golfers but one thing I have always stressed to new golfers is that you are there for the exercise, the fresh air and to relax and enjoy yourself. You are not there to increase your blood pressure and wake up screaming every night. Once you master the golf swing path, and you will, then you will really enjoy the game and watch your score plunge. by golfswingtip
