How To Fix Your Slice
Analyze your grip first. A weak grip can cause you to slice the ball, because this results in an open club face. Place your hands so that your left hand faces the target (or your right hand if you golf left-handed), your other hand should face away from the target. Be careful not to have too weak or too tight a grip.
If this adjustment doesn't help, the problem might be with your stance. Your should be lined up straight towards the target, with your feet shoulder width apart. Have your left foot pointed slightly away from your body and keep your right foot straight. Adjust your stance until your slice improves and you feel comfortable with your stance and grip. This will likely take a lot of practice at the driving range.
If after adjusting your grip and your stance your slice still persists, you may have to work on your swing to fix your slice. First analyze your backswing. The club shaft should be over your shoulder at the height of your backswing. If the club face is not positioned correctly it can cause a slice. The club face should be open, but it should be that way because of the motion of the shoulders and torso. Your hands and wrists should not be twisted.
Finally, on the downswing, move through your hips and make sure to follow through.
By following these steps you should be able to learn how to fix your slice. For more golfing tips, please visit The Golf Gazette
