The World's Ultimate Place For Links Golf
Ireland has an amazing string of "links" style courses, most of them nestled on dunes overlooking the sea, that are amazing places to visit. The golf is outstanding, though often very challenging. But beyond that, the links of Ireland feature great little villages like Lahinch and Ballybunion to visit after your round, caddies with a ton of personality, and a chance to connect with the game's past that's haunting and exciting at the same time.
Just about everyone wants to play Ballybunion, the "grand dame" of courses that many players say was "designed by God." But there are other amazing links all up and down the Irish coastline, including Northern Ireland. Some of these courses, like Ballybunion and Lahinch, date back to the 1890's. Others, like Tralee (designed by Arnold Palmer) and Doonbeg (designed by Greg Norman) have been built more recently.
