Active user on 2 computers at my home, Broke 5 dollar mark last month its now december mid. When do they send the money to my paypal. Have some friends that want to sign up under me but told them not going to send them a link because for me for now its seems to be a scam. Until something shows up in my PAYPAL acct I wont recommend.
  • acopson Dec 14, 2011 @ 4:54 am | delete
Jake, when did reach your $5 payout threshold?, they normally pay around the 15th of each month, although it can vary occasionally. I agree totally with you about not referring your friends until they pay you, which they will, just hold on in there and you will be surprised.

Don't forget, acopson makes $1.00 for every user that signs up and becomes 'active' through the links on this page!
  • acopson Nov 20, 2011 @ 9:34 pm | delete
That is very true Bob as mentioned under features above.

how much money would you make running it on one computer?
  • acopson Apr 20, 2011 @ 5:31 pm | delete
It depends on the individual really, there are a lot of factors which dictace how much you can make per month, mostly dependent on your hardware and internet connection, i would say about $4 a month for one PC on average, which wont make you rich, however every little helps and you don't need to do nothing for it

  • Dorishappy Jan 21, 2011 @ 2:59 am | delete
Have you tried? Is it true?
  • ladykida Jan 12, 2011 @ 1:15 pm | delete
Suggestion: I am always concerned about viruses and spyware when downloading new programs like this. Since it is such a big issue for everyone when on the internet, you might add information about these types of concerns to your lens.

I don't think everyone should be so quick to point fingers that the Gomez app is a scam. It doesn't pay a whole lot to run on your computer but it doesn't require a whole lot of resources either. Where it is worth the cost of electricity to run on your computer all night? Probably not, but hey, it's probably ok to run this while you are working on your computer. From what I know, they are collecting data in regards to website load times, though I can't say for certain.
  • acopson Nov 10, 2009 @ 11:36 am | in reply to pissed | delete
Gomez are not giving away money for nothing, they obviously get paid for the information they collect from the users PC's from a 3rd party company, the information is just bandwidth allocation and data processing not personal details or financial information.

As you may of noticed your post was posted as i have nothing to hide, nor do Gomez.
  • acopson Sep 16, 2009 @ 12:54 pm | in reply to SALITOS | delete
Hi Salitos, i run Gomez Peer on 2 computers one desktop and one laptop and make between $6-8 a month from this, I know they are not a scam because i have been paid for nearly two years now every single month without fail, you are not guaranteed to be accepted as you may not meet there criteria, only Gomez can make that decision, I hope you get accepted :)
  • SALITOS Sep 4, 2009 @ 11:25 am | delete
I'am using gomez peer for a month now and still pending.I have 7 pc 's in my network all runnig the peer.
I stay for over 3000 minutes a day in total peering and I am being paid for the first 1200 (20 hours) 10 cents. How in God's name will I make 45 $ a month? And how other make 45$ ... a regular person has 2 or 3 computers in his home I have 7 so how a guy with 1 maybe 2 pc's make this money.
I am starting to think this is a SCAM.
  • acopson Aug 19, 2009 @ 3:02 pm | in reply to pissed | delete
You are welcome to your opinion, that's why i have approved your post.

First of all Gomez Peer is not a scam, I have been paid $111.94 from them in the past year or so, every month without fail to my PayPal account.

Secondly, i do not own the program, i am just refering it to people, i have had no problems with spyware, phishing attempts, malware or any other security issue on my PC due to the program.

Thirdly, they pay you because they are monitoring bandwidth and other data, plus they send you data to the program to work for them, they obviously get paid for this information and are paying you for use of a miniscule amount of your PC resources.

You have a right to be skeptical, so in your case don't install it.
  • pissed Aug 19, 2009 @ 12:57 am | delete
why in the world would u be giving away money that easy without anything in return?? this is a SUPER SCAM. for all we know ul just be hacking the pc's and taking advantage of our credit cards! hmmpf! and i will not be wonder if this message of mine will not be posted because im sure u'r just keeping the ones that say good about ur scam. :P

I dont know why they dont make some people active, your best bet would be to contact Gomez directly and ask them, maybe they will activate you
  • acopson Mar 7, 2009 @ 5:42 am | in reply to gondes | delete
You just need to wait, to be activated, i can take from a few days to a few weeks, just ahng in there and hopefully you will be earning for doing nothing too.

Marx, I think the payment is once monthly thru paypal. I am interested in using it, but I wanted to check it out first, which is how I found this lens! I am usually pretty leery of downloading programs on my computer, but if the rewards are worth it, I may just give it a try. Maybe the lens author could come back and give us some updates on how much he has made.
  • venkygec Aug 31, 2008 @ 12:47 pm | delete
How many days does it take... for the payment..
