A Fishing Story For My Grandson
Children's books can entertain and teach children. Entertaining and teaching my grandson is something I love to do. Once in a while, I get creative and make him a book. Well, writing and illustrating a book for him has happened only twice, but I'd like to share the last one with you. It features my grandson, his Paw Paw, and Paw Paw's dog, Duchess.
I love reading this story to him and his friends!
In the story, the three of them go on a fishing trip; my grandson narrates...

Art files are used to show you the book except for the last page of artwork; it's a photograph of the actual book I printed for him.
Enjoy!

I See Role Models
My desire to be a voice for children inspired this T-shirt. Children don't know to tell the people they encounter that these people are their role models. This T-shirt speaks for them. Available colors: red, purple, green, orange, black, and pink. Some colors below. See all colors
Don't you just love to entertain children?
Read them stories? Maybe make up stories for them, too?
This children's book was a labor of love...
The other book I wrote for my grandson now exists only through one copy that I printed on photo paper, the glossy kind, and then bound with tape and staples. About The End Page
As a little girl, I always disliked reading a book and coming to the page that read, “The End.” It was so final.
So, with this book, my end page reads, “The End of this particular story at this particular time.”
When I read the end page to my grandson in 2006 for the first time, he whipped his head around to look at me; the amused twinkle in his eyes told me that he knows what the sentence means. :)His mother is keeping it safe for him.
This one, Gonna Catch A Big One, might be available in hardback to anyone with a desire to purchase it (so far, I haven't found a desirable way to do this). Also, I want to offer a free download for you to print out and bind for yourself and the little “fisherchildren” in your life (still working on this setup as well).
Thank you for stopping by. My grandson and I would like to know what you think about Gonna Catch A Big One. Your comments are welcome. Oh, and afterward, there are some fishing picture books for children that you might like.
