Cover of Des'ree's "You Gotta Be" in "Good Deeds" trailer
Patti Austin's cover of British pop and soul singer Des'ree's "You Gotta Be" is featured in "Good Deeds" trailer. The song was the first single release from Des' Ree's 1994 album "I Ain't Movin" album and written by herself. "You Gotta Be" has been covered by Natalie Cole, Ethel Ennis, MiChi, Japanese band Nature Living and Ronan Parke. However, it is not known if the song would make it into the "Good Deeds" soundtrack album.
Scorer for the film is Aaron Zigman, his latest assignment after "What's Your Number" and "I Don't Know How She Does it". Check back on this page for soundtrack updates.
Tyler Perry is writer, director and star in "Good Deeds", just as he did in "Madea's Big Happy Family". Others in the cast are Gabrielle Union (Little In Common tv serials), Thandie Newton (Retreat), Ne Yo (Red Tails), Jamie Keneddy, Brian White and Rebecca Romjin.
The film's plot follows Wesley Deeds (Tyler) Perry, a successful entrepreneur about to marry his beautiful but restless fiancee, Natalie (Gabrielle Union). His life is about to change when he becomes enamored with Lindsey (Thandie Newton), a down-on-her-luck single mother.
