The things we get from that are good (protein, vitamins and minerals) can be obtained from vegetarian options without all the side effects. For instance a cup of tofu, an great source of alkalizing protein source, will put you at about 20 grams of protein. This will be hard to swallow for some people but the average person, man or women needs less than 40 grams a day. The bodys protein needs can be met without eating meat.
