Eat great. Self-congratulate. Good for you.
Ranked #25,953 in Food & Cooking, #543,633 overall
This guy's hungry. Let's make good eats even less imaginary.
We're working fast and furious to fill the hungry gullets of the hurried and health conscious. A 24-hour, healthy fast food drive-through is on its way to the rescue; first stop: California's Bay Area (but of course). Next stop: a location near you.
How can you help us throw a life raft (made of good, healthy, fast food) into the greasy sea of saturated fats and high sodium? Well by buying a shirt or cap, of course. And very soon, you too can eat great and self-congratulate.

Saving your stomach from the mess.
Working toward a less imaginary goal.
Let me be up front about what we're trying to achieve: gastronomical salvation. Here's the story in a Macadamia nutshell: Our plan is to open a 24-hour, healthy fast food drive-through to satiate the palettes of night owls, early birds, the health conscious, and the all-around hungry. We're not talking cardboard burgers made from soy beans and flax seeds. Oh no. "Good for you." will offer good ole fast food fare without all the fast food artery murder.Why are we doing this?, you ask. Why take up the cause of the over-worked, ill-fed, and undernourished digestive tract and overall human body? I think the question answers itself, don't you?
We love humans. We love food. Our passion is keeping humans alive and healthy by not only taking care of their bodies' fuel needs, but by taking care of those needs with what we like to call, "the good stuff." As a consequence, we also take care of the needs of human taste buds. You'll simply have to try our menu (so far imaginary), and let your body and tongue be the judges.
We are not only an idea factory, we are foremost a body fuel producing factory--the fast, drive-through, nourishing and delicious kind of body fuel, mind you. But like all great ideas, factory type or not, money is needed to make the idea less imaginary.
We welcome you to help us help your body by making our goal less imaginary (i.e. buy a thing or two on our site... ahem). Each purchase brings us closer to building our Church of the Gastronome, if you will. "Good for you." is a dream waiting to leave the gates of imagination. And very soon, you too can eat great and self-congratulate. Good for you.
Sport Our Wares. Good for you.
A healthy digestive system deserves a good tee. Sport 'em like a rock star.
Plan for the plans
What we plan to do with our "less imaginary goal" money
Curious about how your dough will help us make our (literal) dough? Sure we're trying to keep our exact plans hush-hush--corporate spying and thievery can be a problem, they say (just ask Hewlett-Packard). Just the same, we want to be as a transparent (and trans-fat free) as possible.
Here's our to-do list (note: these items require cashola):
* Legal Consultation
* Incorporation Process
* Consultation with Accountants
* Building Purchase and Improvements
* Menu Research & Development
* Kitchen Equipment Purchase
* Purchase of Inventory & Supplies
* Marketing
* Franchising Consultation
There we have it: our broadly outlined plan for spending toward the dream. Let's get this dream out of the imagination closet and into a location near you.

Urban legend or a story with some meat on its ribs?
Is junk food obesity's prime suspect?
A Reader's Digest Canada article entitled "Fast Food Facts" had this to say about the fast, junk food made available by the chain restaurants many of us have a love-hate relationship with:"These foods are often sky-high in calories, saturated fat and sodium that can make us fatter, clog our arteries and send our blood pressure soaring. 'Eating fast food used to be a treat; now it's the norm,' says Sharon Zeiler of the Canadian Diabetes Association. 'Its popularity is one of the reasons why obesity rates are high.'"
UK news journal Times Online echoed the above sentinment in an October 22, 2003 article entitled "Junk food is fooling people into overeating":
"[Andrew Prentice, Professor of International Nutrition at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine] said that the human appetite encouraged people to eat a similar bulk of food, regardless of its calorific value. This left regular consumers of fast food prone to 'accidental' obesity, in which they grew fat while eating portions they did not consider large.
...This means that a person eating a Big Mac and fries would consume almost twice as many calories as someone eating the same weight of pasta and salad."
The skinny on the correlation between obesity and junk food is summed up best by NewsTarget.com: Fast food has such high caloric density that by the time you feel full, you've already overeaten.
Heavy, heavy calories
Fast food that packs a punch in the gut... on the thighs... and on any other part that will take its beating
"The recommended maximum daily calories for moderately active women maintaining a healthy weight is about 2,000; for men, it's 2,500."
