Goodness Gracious - Glasses !?!

There are so many frames you can choose from it becomes a bit mind boggling.
Some suit but are too expensive then the affordable, shocking!

Then there are the many stores to check out. Some of the less expensive, the two for one option is great but I have heard that the actual lenses in the glasses at these stores are not that good and so don't last long, so be aware.

There are Optometrists on every corner but which one will be the one for you!

It is then well worth while to do some research into where you are going to buy your glasses and what you basically want before going ahead and purchasing.
Take a look around in the optometrist in your area when you are out shopping and you will get a fair idea.

If you are on a pension of any kind, check out want you are entitled to in the form of concession or optometrist available for pensioners.
With a concession card you will get a great deal.

One trick to keep in mind to cut the cost of the frames at least, is once you have found a frame that you like and that suits you, you can buy the exact one from eBay or Amazon at half the cost.

Hunt around it is worth it!

Once we have found our frames it's off to the Optometrist for the glasses to be fittered with the right prescription lenses made to meet your personal requirements.
An Optometrist, a health care professional, should be seen at least once every two years.
They will be able to detect any changes in your general eyesight and look for other eye diseases that can affect the eye and in some cases be quite lethal.

Whilst having a general eye test serious diseases can show up, such as myastemia, diabetes and atherosclerosis, the symptoms of which would not have shown up if not for the eye test.

Most optometrists will give you the full eye test, one for the prescription for your lenses and the other for the general health of your eyes .
But be aware and ask as some provide the prescription test only.

I had my eye test and I am happy to tell you, my eyes are very healthy apart from the fact that I need readers and graduated lenses in another pair for every day use.
