The Essential Things You Must Know

We're On A Mission

So, you've been hearing a lot about people making money from search engines and wonder where to start?

While it is true some people can make excellent money from search engines, many others fail to get out of the starting gate. Why? Often, those that fail don't have the right information.

There's a few basic things you must do in order to succeed, and I'm often surprised how little these things are discussed on the web. At least, not openly. Or the information gets buried.

So why is this lens worth your time? After all, there's tons of other lenses on this subject. What makes this one so "essential"?

I've been in the search marketing arena, full-time, day-in-day-out, since 2001 and I've seen the strategies that work and those that don't. I've made a good living from search engines and I'll show you how to do the same. And I'm not trying to sell you a book.

On this lens, I'll be covering the essential information you require in order to make search work for you and earn you money. Free. No outdated e-books. No get-rich-quick scams. No garbage. Just the essential know-how from people who are actually doing it.

Bookmark us, or grab the RSS feed, as we'll update often. This is a fast moving, fun and profitable game.

Welcome aboard.

Top Five Things You Must Do In Order To Succeed With Adsense

Pro Adsense Tips

1. Don't Think of Adsense As Advertising, Think Of Adsense As Content - Ads can answer your visitors questions just as easily as your content. So let it. Integrate it. Mix it into your written paragraphs.

2. Adsense Is Not A Banner. See 1)

3. Test, Test And Re-Test. The right placement of Adsense for others may not be the right placement for you. So test. Try different placements and configurations. Learn about heat maps and common visitor eye patterns.
Make one change, then track the result. Then make another. And so on.

4. Not All Adsense Is Equal - find keywords that are worth more, or have higher traffic volumes, or both, and you'll make more money. Write articles on these topics. How do you find which terms are worth more, or have higher traffic volumes? One easy way is to go into Adwords, set up a test campaign, and find the bid and traffic numbers. There are various other tools on the market that help you do this, which I'll explore soon.

5. Comprehensive Content Does Not Necessarily Equal Great Adsense Revenue - If the visitor is so engrossed in your article, or you answer all their questions, they may be less likely to click on your ads. Don't answer all the visitors questions. Leave them wanting more. The Adsense ads can, and often do, provide that "more". Let them.

Recommended Products & Books

Adsense Gold - Highly Recommended
When I first looked at the Adsense Gold site, it almost put me off. The site looks unprofessional and the hard-sell is typical of some of those get-rich-quick scams, but I'm so glad I bought this package. In my opinion, this is the best money-making instruction course/software bundle for Adsense.

Adsense Gold won't suit those who are already making thousands a day, but it will benefit those who are making some money on Adsense and want to know how to take their earnings to the next level. Tip: regularly tracking and adjusting campaigns is key.

The Adsense keyword tracker script is worth the price alone.
Cash Keywords
I can't do without these reports. They provide the stats and keywords you will need in order target your Adsense campaigns effectively. Tip: the highest paying keywords aren't always the most lucrative. Look for traffic volume and competition levels.

I use the Mega-Top Dollar report every day. Absolutely essential.

Scrolling Articles Tip!

Do you have content that scrolls off the bottom of the page?

Consider placing multiple, skyscraper style adsense units, one on top of the other, down the right hand side of the text. This works best if you change the adsense border to the same color as the page background color.

As the reader scrolls, they always have an ad in their viewspace, and a likely point of (monetarised) exit.

This technique works especially well when there are few other distracting elements on the page: i.e. no navigation links or banners to the left of the text.
