Google Goggles Preview
Is it revolutionary or just old information packaged in a pretty software?
What it does is I'm assuming it acts like Google would exploring your ad to page and keyword relevancy. It also should check whether you have some essential pages Google loves to see when you start your Adwords campaign as an affiliate.
This is not so new or revolutionary as they make it out to be. They know that, but hey, everybody has to build a buzz on something, right?
So what, does that mean it's not good software? No, all I'm saying is the premise behind it is not all that revolutionary as they are making it out to be.
If you've been doing PPC (pay-per-click) advertising for any amount of time in the past year or so, you know that Google is looking for a multi-page review landing page site. You know that there are some critical elements, such as:
- Terms and Conditions Page
- Contact Page
- Privacy Policy
- 4-5 pages of relevant content (can be taken from article directories)
- An XML Sitemap for linking it all together
So far if you're a newbie to affiliate marketing and starting PPC campaigns it'd be good to have, but if you're at all "advanced", at this point I see it as just OKAY.
Of course, Amish and Larry must be holding some of the power of this back (they must be, seriously..) so this preview will develop into an all out review over the coming days and weeks.
