Neither is perfect, but I trust Google Maps more. I think they only steered me wrong once while Mapquest is always hit or miss. But I prefer my GPS!

I usually use Google Maps, but have had pretty good success with MapQuest. A couple years back I was using MapQuest for a trip in St. Louis and followed the directions exactly. Got sent someplace I really wanted to avoid due to a bad turn description. Other than that, the only problem I've ever had is just outdated maps due to new construction.
    Thanks for this info.

I have used Mapquest for years and it's never been right...it's frustrating, they need to update or something...I hate being lost! 5*s for a informative lens.

In regardss with SunnyDee's comment, I totally agree some of the places don't have Google Maps. Google have to update very soon coz a lot of people are depending on it.

Very Informative Lens and for that I will give you 5 stars for it and Lensroll.

In experience Google Maps is a better mapping service in general but I've found that Mapquest gives better driving directions...gotten lost and confused a few times using Google Maps for navigating unfamiliar areas.

You're right about us old dogs ! I recently started back in mineral exploration and was blown away that when I asked about our properties in Mato Grosso, Brazil -they just zoomed in on google - unbelievable! The last time I did exploration in the early 90's I was introduced to a /bestgpsreceivers.info/">GPS receiver - and couldn't believe how cool they were, I actualy knew where in a featureless desert (the Atacama) I was!

Great lens! I never drive without clear directions and I always practice defensive driving. It's always better to play safe than be sorry. I think there's practically no excuse for sloppy driving as there are many schools offering defensive driving lessons and tuition is affordable. There's a lot of benefits to be reaped from defensive driving courses besides the mere prevention of accidents. Visit the link to learn more. Thanks!

Good Lns .Thank you for sharing this useful information.Perhaps the most unique tool of mapping is the users ability to amend any route the computer plots. If you need to drive another way all you have to do is drag and drop the route trail to another place. Time and again you want to go to different places on your way... other sites will not let you do this, with Google it's a snap. Here is also similar kind of information on automotive software , an interesting site about Automotive Software ,Automotive Repair Shop Software,Car Dealership Software,Car Maintenance Software .Please visit us.

I am on the road a lot in the summer. I have used mapquest in the past, it has served me well. I will check out the g maps satellite images with roads, should help identify landmarks.

I always used to use Mapquest, but since they stopped you right-clicking and copying the map so you could save it to print larger I stopped. Google maps is a lot nicer to use these days.
Common problem I still have is that some addresses in the USA are not shown where they whould be. Even the other week I tried to find somewhere, but it was at least 3 miles away from where the map said it was.
    Nice lens though, 5 *****
