How to Use Google Plus for Business?
Google Plus Pages for businesses and brands was finally launched on November 7, 2011 allowing businesses to create their branded pages. Many businesses were eagerly waiting to get started on Google+ in order to tap into this powerful online marketing tool, so we can expect to see an increased presence of businesses on Google+ in the coming weeks and months.
Since its beta launch in June 2011 and subsequent public launch in September 2011, Google+ has attracted over 40 million users. There have been mixed reactions to how Google+ will perform, especially compared to its main rival Facebook.
Personally having researched and used Google+, I believe it is here to stay mainly because Google+ is very much integrated with the Google Search Engine, which is the world's most used search engine on the web, and other Google services like the +1 button, +1 Search, Gmail, YouTube and others. Also, some of the key features of Google+ Pages like Google+ badge, Google+ Direct Connect, and Hangouts will provide businesses an effective way to promote their businesses.
This web page is dedicated to helping familiarize yourself with the key benefits of Google+ Pages, setting up your Google+ Business Page, keeping you up-to-date on the latest news and developments on this project. You will also find instructions and a video tutorial on how to setup your Google+ Page. Let's get started.

Benefits of Google+ Pages for Business
Benefits and Limitations of Google+ Business Pages
Having Google+ Pages has many benefits, one of the main ones being the SEO benefit to businesses who have Google+ Pages. Google+ is integrated with other Google services like Gmail, YouTube and soon Google expects to launch tools to help track Google Analytics on Google+ Business Pages.
The Google+ Badge is a new format for Google +1 button. Businesses can add the new Google+ badge to their websites which when clicked will take people to the Google+ Business Page to be followed or circled. Google+ Pages can be linked to AdWords campaigns.
Google+ Direct Connect is a new feature that Google has introduced in Google Search which allows people to find Google+ Business Pages directly through a Google search by entering "+" followed by the name of the Page. For example, if you were looking for Pepsi's Google+ Page, you would do a Google search with "+ pepsi" in the search box.
Businesses are allowed to create multiple Google+ Business Pages. Apart from the above, you can share pictures, videos, links as well as organize Google Hangouts.
Having discussed the some key benefits above, Google+ Pages lack in one major area. Currently, only one administrator can manage a Google+ Page for the business, however, Google plans to provide multiple administrator support in the near future.
Given that Google+ Pages were just recently introduced, you can expect many changes and enhancements in the coming weeks and months.

- Excellent resource for those of us who want to create a G+ presence for our businesses. For businesses, I think G+ is much better than Facebook for the reasons you outlined above. The issue, however, is that G+ is yet nowhere near the adoption rate of Facebook. I am hoping that will change in the near future, which I think it will.

- Yeah, it will take some time for Google+ to get to par with FB in terms of adopters, however, given that Google dominates the internet search, it will be just a matter of time. Also, I'm sure we will see much more integration of other Google services into Google+.
