Mozilla Firefox? Yes! Google Chrome? No!

Which is better? Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox?

Right, you've had plenty of time to download and install Google Chrome so now, you must have a pretty good idea of how it works and whether you prefer it over Mozilla.

So, no more pussy footing around, okay?

Thank you to ciukes for the title image :)

Which browser do you prefer?

Don't be scared of placing your vote for your favourite browser, or stating your opinion. It's what I want on this Lens! Your opinion will be respected 100% (providing, of course, it's not attacking anyone personally...)

Which browser do you prefer?

Why?
What does it do that the other browser doesn't?
What do you believe is its strongest point? Its weakest?
Does it have potential to be even better than before?

So, can Google Chrome knock Mozilla Firefox off its perch?

I don't think it can...

What do you think?

It has to be Mozilla Firefox!

Google Chrome is faster in terms of browsing and surfing the net. Mozilla have more functionality, simply all the things you want in a browser. I use chrome for faster browsing.

Anonymous says:

Google Chrome is just a far superior browser. Much more stable, javascript runs faster and more actual browsing space.

I do like them both. I had some Firefox bugs so I started using Chrome. Now I have a system of production with Chrome. Chrome cannot do everything that Firefox can, so I often use both at the same time.

Well, I have yet to try Google Chrome -- so, by default, it's FireFox! ;)

Google Chrome

Downloads, reviews, resources etc.

Download the latest release: Current Version: 0.2.149.30

Or try: Google Chrome (BETA)

By the sounds of it, Google Chrome is building a following and I suppose I can see why if you're someone who is looking for simplicity. I mean, you can't get much simpler than Google Chrome. There's nothing to it! It's plain, boring and has no redeeming features.

Mind you, it doesn't take long for worthwhile resources to start cropping up all over the place...(though I don't want to be seen to be promoting Chrome...sssshhh!):

My Recommended Google Chrome Resources:

Or maybe you just prefer Internet Explorer!

Okay, you win!

If you much prefer Internet Explorer over ANY other browser then argue the to..point here.

This is Internet Explorer versus Any Browser.

Fair? I think so! See, which browser comes out on top now.

Which is better? Internet Explorer or another browser?

Loading Fetching blurbs now... please stand by

Internet Explorer without a doubt!

CleanerLife says:

I can't understand why people would use FireFox over IE. Except for the scripts that make FireFox look better at Squidoo and SquidU, IE is a much better browser. I can't even get FireFox able to work with streaming sites, like LastFM or XM Radio, so I'll stream with IE while I do other things with FF and Chrome.

On many sites, I get page load errors with FireFox, but IE and Chrome are able to connect to them with no problem.

I've never had to pay to upgrade IE, I've also never had to waste time trying to figure out which plugins I need to get IE to work right with a site, but I have wasted more time than I find reasonable at 'Firefox Add-ons' trying to figure out what I need to get FF working right.

Another browser! Which one though? You say!

Joan4 says:

I would use any browser except IE. I prefer Firefox, especially for Squidoo. But Chrome is easy to use and a super back up browser!

hollandnumerics says:

I've got my own lens "Is Mozilla Firefox better than Internet Explorer?", but my vote is for Firefox, because of its better speed, security, usability and flexibility relative to IE. The only web site I visit regularly that doesn't work with Firefox is www.microsoft.com!!

Mozzila Enterprise Lmtd says:

As our technology improves so does that world wide web. You need a reasonable web browser. Internet explorer has got its fame from bill gates but there are more browsers out there that can literary make you so happy. Internet explorer makes me cry cause its an internet thats all, i want a "stunning web browser" not internet

kiwisoutback says:

IE is bogus. I have five words for you: "This page cannot be displayed."

spirituality says:

IE7 is not bad, but the extensions of firefox make it a musthave browser - for webdevelopers anyhow.

Great debate topic once again! I hope Google Chrome works some kinks out of its system. It definitely runs Javascript faster than Firefox, but Firefox is dependable. Chrome runs funny on some web pages, especially when submitting forms, saving things (like drafts or modules here on Squidoo), and on CafePress. Congrats on getting your wings this round, Squid Angel blessed!

I've tried both and still find myself with Firefox. I have a ton of add-ons that just aren't supported by Google Chrome as of yet. 5*****

I like Chrome's speed, and Facebook works SOO much better with Chrome. But Firefox has extensions, and useful ones at that. I love FFox's extensions, such as Tab mix plus, Xmarks, Web Developer, Firebug, Chatzilla, etc..

I use Firefox in preference to Chrome. Chrome is more invasive, less easy to tweak and control, and it leaves unwanted Google stuff around after you uninstall it.

That said, I use three browsers on my machine, IE, Firefox and Opera with Firefox being the predominant one. IE is used before I install the others and occasionally to check for compatibility etc.

Even though I predominantly use Firefox there's still a lot wrong with it--too much to go into details over here. That's why I use Opera quite often too. Often Opera gets me out of a Firefox problem, as it often connects to slower sites better than FF and also it doesn't drop out on big downloads as often as FF or IE (IE being the worst by far). Opera has always bee the best browser when it comes to downloads--has been so for over a decade now.
