Google loves me...
Ranked #26,976 in Education, #475,125 overall
In LOVE with a search engine...
* Then, like life is bound to unwind sometimes, it all started going from bad to good, and then after a few more years, I've learned to overcome that shy/fear, curse thing too. Once that happened, then things really got going. I've been branching out ever since.
Lately, a little help from Google, has really furthered my development as a writer and as a low-key photographer now too, I might add. :-) I'm really getting to use my abilities and I'm really Un-shy now too, at last.
So you see friend, I'm making up for some lost time right here. There was a fair amount of wasted time and opportunities because of my personal disability, way back then, so long ago now. So, I've got a pile of Squidooing, Hubbing, Blogging and Webmastering as well as Forum participation to do, for the next for-see-able while, @ least! ;-)
O.K. then ...back to Google Love...
Well my dear readers,
It pretty much goes something like this...
You see, I started using Google about ten years ago. Trust me when I say that I have tried a number of other well known searchers over the years too, but this bad boy is the Best of the Best. It finds almost every single web-page, blog, Lens and now, Hubpage that I've ever built, and that is quite a whack of them. :-)
Try it.
Just try typing some of my easy to remember keywords, like say, "larrybass", or, "larrybourgeois" or even "Canadian outdoorsy lensmaster" into the Big G's search bar, then stand back. You'll see if I'm blowing smoke or not, about this Google Love stuff. :-)
I'm telling you, Google LOVES me and I love him back. I supply Him with some good stuff that He asks for and He shares that data with the world. I give Him what He wants and He spreads it all over the planet for me. I'm liking that!
Believe me, none of this happened over night though. Nope. But, I now know that YOU can do this too, and it won't take that long. I mean like, come on. If I (biker, fishin' guy, S.A.K. carrier etc) can do this Google stuff, just about anyone can. I also know now, that I can help You do this too. You see, I'm tryin' to set an example for all you wanna-be writers, artists, poets, photogs, and anyone else who would like to get their own, "15 minutes of Fame" right here, LIVE, on the Internet. That is what I've been doing lately. Getting people Going again. Trying to Fire them up, to borrow from an old saying. :-)
------------------------
I must say here too, that I am STILL simply amazed at what else this powerful search engine can do for the average man, or woman, or teen even. Almost everyone knows by now, that Google is the absolute Best search engine in the world, for looking up stuff, say. But, that's Not all His Highness has for us. Nope, He's also loaded with some of the coolest features you could imagine. Here's a for instance...
I just discovered that the Great Google, will even give you the opportunity to create a basic website for yourself, and put whatever you like on it. It's as easy as pie, and very quick to understand to boot! An Easy and Fast, Cool Builder 101 thingy, for all! Man, I LOVE Google! :-)
To provide a little proof for you, sort of, here's a link to my latest little (ten minute build) newbie Intro-type website @ Google, built about twenty seven minutes ago, LIVE, on Google. I think That part alone, is pretty Cool stuff even.
Of course, like most of my stuff, there's nothing fancy on it, but instead, it's built specifically in this case, to help YOU, my readers, SEE the real ease of it all, and to even perhaps provide the gentle, friendly nudge that You need, to finally get Yourself LIVE on the Web for real too...
Besides showing a fairly "plain-jane" webpage for viewing purposes, it should @ least pull some of the mystery out of crafting web-pages for folks who like stuff that's fairly easy! :-)
My Google Page
Just to repeat this once more, because it's worth it, this is SO easy to do! Anyone, even those of You with no techie experience, can Now have your own cool home on the web too! Thanks to this marvelous free service, by one of the Top outfits on the planet. Go check the link out and just maybe you Will be inspired enough perhaps, to finally put up a little Web-Home of your own, hosted by the greatest Search Engine that ever lived...
GET GOOGLED
-------------------------------------
Hopefully, there will be some more KISS type tips in here soon, like How and why to use not only Tags but also Keywords and even Meta-Tags too. Also there will be some Xamples of stuff about say, oh, "How to get Google to LOVE You", easy-like. Things to make sure you do once your lens, hub, blog or webpage is published and even more neat stuff. So keep a watch for those, before too long.
On your way out, I'd like to give Y'all, a Big Canuky Thank You, for stopping by to-day. I hope you've enjoyed your tour!
Cheers,
larryb
Google-ing myself...
Working with the big G...
Here's a little sample of some of a bit of my very simple SEO stuff at work with the Big G. Nothing too overly fancy or very hard to do, about any of it, really. I believe Anyone, with determination, can achieve high rankings in Google searches too, if they put the time, energy and of course, Don't forget the LOVE, into it... Don't we all need a little more Love? Hmmm?Hope this little Squidy blurb here, helps You See why I LOVE Google So Much and maybe how You too, might also get friendlier with the biggest "G" I know of. ;-)

Oh ya, almost forgot. Make sure You build yourself your first Lens, right here, on this wonderfully Squidooy web landing pad! Do Not put this off any longer. Really! We all wanna see what you want us to see or whatever. Becoming a Lens Master yourself, only just, Sounds difficult, long and maybe even boring. Well, I'm here to tell you that in truth, the art of Lens Crafting has proven to be pretty easy for So many folks and it has a very gentle learning curve that us over 40+ folks can dig too. :-)
Chow 4 now,

Some Flickr pics from Ottawa, Ontario...
Now Google can find more of my pictures easily...
New Flickr Photos...These are a few of my photos from the Ottawa area...
I know this is not really Google specific, sort of but then again, Google does pull my Flickr pictures out of the big batch already, as you can see in the screen shot to the right, even though I haven't been with Flickr that long. So obviously, there's a little bit of that ol' Google Love, displayed there for Flickr, what? Any sharp eyed Photog's out there see the connection? ;-)
Flickr, by the way, is a pretty kool place to store and display your favorite photos on the web! In short, Flickr is fast, free and it has powerful, easy tools as well. Here are a few pictures I have stored over there presently, for your viewing pleasure. Also, as mentioned above, my buddy Google, seems to be having absolutely NO trouble pulling up my Flickr URL's in the Top 20 spots lately.
I'd think His Hunkyness, might like yours too, if you decide to use some of my ideas to get a little more Google Love. Heaven knows, we ALL Need a little more LOVE! There, I've used that four letter word again. :-)
Enjoy the Photostream...

Google Loves Squidoo...
Google Loves Hubpages too...
Yes Sir-eee Bob! Ya Know, Master G, has been watchin' after this ol' Canuky buck here, for a goodly while now and He, Master Google Himself, has shown me, lb, some of his various preferences for some of my Digital stuff lately, when I queried His Great Highness.Woaza! Holy Macaroni, it's all True. All this Squidooin' and Hubbin' stuff, is awesomely powerful material, as far as the Great Google is concerned, it would appear. It was pretty neat to see all those cool results, live. Many of my hits in the first two pages, were hosted by these two FINE organizations, mentioned here.
Tying in with Hubpages, IS tying in with the Big Google Himself. Hooking up with the amazing Squidoo, is Guaranteed to get Google to give you a kiss and a hug too. The way I see it for sure anyway! ;-0
You know, I haven't even had these Lenses and Hubs for very long and they most certainly haven't been read TOO much yet, so not many have bookmarked them etc, but they're doin' alright, as they say, as far as getting found out there already goes.
Google LOVES me and I just keep on Lovin' Him back! :-)
Yes Sir, There were Squidoo Lenses, Hubpages and even Blogger flew in there with two or three of my Blogs to boot. Fantastic, I thought! Man, Google digs Squidooers, Hubbers and Bloggers as much as ANY of my web pages to date. Woooa! Oh, and did I mention, really FAST Google Love? Some proof perhaps that my most recent web developments are Now indeed rubbing shoulders with my 10 year old stuff for first and second page rankings. I just Love that. So get Squidooing, Hubbing and Blogging, if you have any time left over. :-)
I'll be offering a few more easy tips to get more LOVE from Google yourself, in here soon. Keep posted,
Alrighty then, here's a screen shot to show some of the LOVE...
Later, once you've built and published a lens and or hub as well, Google will indeed find it and You pretty fast, even if you don't do ANY self promotion, which you should be doing fairly regularly anyway...
Chow,

the Test...
Does Google love you?
Here's a quote from one of my other web places...Try this wee test. Type anybody's name that you know personally, into Google's search bar. Did you find anything in there? Was it pointing to your friend or a million other things but NOT your friend? Do You see because of this test, just how much we ALL need some kind of online home thingy happening in our lives? Whether it's a blog or a lens or a hub or a webpage or a picture or Whatever, we ALL need to be out there...
Are You having success with FREE marketing places and tactics?
How to KISS the whole planet...
Keeping It Simple Silly, is an old and well used bit of sound advise for anyone who wants to accomplish an objective. Getting your Lens, Blog, Hubpage, Website , Photos or whatever, out there, is pretty easy if kept to it's simplest levels first. What you do is, just concentrate on the main basic simple rules of good web related groundwork. Do NOT clutter your creation. Write original content! Always. Do Not use "article mills" either.
Another I.E. for you. Always use "meta-tags" or just plain "tags" as they are known here in Squidoo-land. :-0
Keywords and key phrases are the same as Tags too. So do NOT be shy about spreading them through that original content of yours, as well as in your meta-tag section if your doing webpages.
Another tip is one that I've really had a lot of feedback from. That of course is none other than the Great Google Himself! Just go to His special Google Really Rocks! page and add your URL in there, real easy-like. Gets indexed real quick in my experience and the hits start coming in steadily too...
Good luck to Y'all out there. I know that You can get high rankings in the Mighty G with the KISS process too. Hope I've helped YOU a little in here to-day, towards a little more Google Love with this little Lens! :-)

Anyone wanna comment on this lens?
Here's a place for a comment folks. It don't bite. Don't be shy here. If you think this lens is bad let me know at least why you think it is and I'll see if I can make it a little better even. ;-)
If you like it for any reason, I'd love to hear about that too, of course! :-)

- Well Hello to You JJ, my favorite Angel! :-) Thanx again, so much, for writing in my little guest-books Julie. Glad to hear of Your Google Love too. :-) What I'm finding hard to grasp, is How do my Squidoo lenses get Googled so fast? It's still all sort of a mystery to this ol' bushy guy.
Oh ya, my latest "trick" if you will, Angel, is to use the Images search feature on Google's main page. I just type in my 10 year old "keywords" and Voila, both Squid Lens and Hubpage pictures come in on the first page. Soooo, make sure to use pictures, that use your "tags" and, use More of your pictures. The more pictures, the more it Up's the odds of the Great Google finding Your Cool stuff... :-)
All the best,
LarryB

- Hello my dear! I am so glad to hear that Google loves you. I love Google as it is my favorite search engine -- I've actually done an HMB debate about Google vs. Yahoo. Sometimes Google loves my lenses and then sometimes not -- they can be fickle -- take my Primer on how-to Squidoo lens. Someone 'borrowed' my content and got indexed on Google while that lens didn't. Sometimes difficult to figure Google out.

- Hi Jimmie, Thanx for the visit and welcome comments. Yahoo has heard of me too, just doesn't LOVE me as much as Good old Google though!
Hi Susan, Thanx for dropping in. You have a lot of neat Lenses going on, busy girl. :-)
There should be a few more little tips in here soon to hopefully get ya climbing Googles ladder.

- I need to do a WHOLE lot more of this, as you describe. I want Google to love me, too! (Actually, I think it likes me pretty well already, but there's always room for improvement - LOTS of room in my case!)
