How to Learn More about Developing Great Squidoo Lenses

squidoo graphic

There are many great lens creators on Squidoo.

But I want to specifically recognize the lensmasters listed here: Gannon Beck, Jack C. Lee, Tom Van Wesemael, Glen (N376), Randy Smythe, Margaret Schaut, Kimberly Dawn Wells, and Dave Pye & crew at Squidoo-it-yourself.

Their lenses inspired me in two very important ways:

  1. they opened up my thinking to options that never occurred to me.
  2. they shared skills and techniques for implementing these new ideas.

If you're interested in advancing your lens-building skills, please make some time to check them out.

This 11-chapter ebook describes the basic concepts behind building professional-looking multi-lens projects -- ebooks, extended tutorials, department stores, shopping malls, and more -- using Squidoo and Google Apps for your Domain.

Ideas for Multi-Lens Projects with Squidoo

Expand your thinking to consider how multiple lenses can work together synergistically to offer readers much greater value than is possible with a single lens.

Linking Like Lenses
SquidU post. Excerpt:

"Lensmasters quickly learn that if you try to make a lens that captures everything you know about a certain subject, a lens can become quite long. ...consider making multiple lenses that approach the topic from a variety of angles."

Don't Be Ashamed of Multiple Lenses on Related Topics
Blog post on Squidoo-it-yourself. Excerpt:

"Lenses can get real big - real fast. ...So why not divide your subject or topic into more than one lens? It's easy enough to link them to each other, and the relationships will assist in drawing visitors, getting the lenses indexed and eventually even Google page rank or link profilferation."
