- This lens disappointed me. I was eagerly expecting to find the link to your grandmothers facebook knitting page but it wasn't to be found. So sad. ;P

- Ah ... I just saw your comment below in response to Momsbusy247 - I remember when I was all excited about Google Wave, and then I just forgot about it until I saw this today. I wondered what happened. Now I know. Thanks!

- Sadly, Google Wave is now dead :(. It's features have since been rolled into Google Docs and Google+, I suppose. It was cool while it was up though - a very innovative take on email. Pity it was merely geek candy in the end.

- Yeah, there's potential there. I'd written a uses for google wave lens but that got wiped off of cyberspace. I've not logged into wave for ages because it used to be slow on my computer (growing pains, I imagine... and one can't expect optimum performance from a beta version), but I should check it out again soon.

- Your opening paragraphs (cute story) remind me of my nieces and their uses of facebook, even after they explain things to me, I still don't understand! This is the first time I have ever heard of Google Wave.

- Hi Debbie, I'm glad you enjoyed the intro (and the lens itself). The story was inspired by a very tech-saavy friend of mine in her 70s who never fails to surprise me with how up to date she is! Anyhoo, I think wave is still only available in limited release (by invitation only). Hopefully they'll open things up a bit more so that you can explore it for yourself soon :). I find it useful.

- Being that it's a techie topic, I try to keep it interesting for folks who maybe don't get as excited about such things as I do. I'm really glad you liked it and found it engaging :).

- This is a really well-written lens, Mahogany. I love your intro! Very funny. I actually do have a Wave account but I don't use it - haven't really had a chance to look into its features just yet. Thanks for the overview! (:

- Thanks for the compliment Cynthia :). Also, I'm happy I was able to give you a chuckle along with the info.
It's a pity you don't really use your google wave account. It's still very new, but the basic functionality is already so exciting - just imagine the progression once it opens up even more and developers start coding for it!
