- I once babysat a kid who made me read three of these to him, out loud, in one sitting. I had low expectations going in, because they'd recently become ubiquitous, but I was pleasantly surprised.

- I remember my daughter reading the Goosebumps books - they were the first stories she read to the end by herself! She's braver than me. I found them super scary - but well written. Great idea to have a Halloween series.
