Gopher Removal - Help Me, They've Ruined My Lawn
Gophers and moles can wreak havoc on you lawn, not just what's above ground but below ground too.
I know it can be the height of annoyance when you wake up each morning to find mounds of dirt ruining your beautiful lawn, the damage is usually more than just what you can see at first. In their foraging for food, gophers dig through the soil uprooting vegetation and eating through young roots and seedlings. Their digging also causes rocks and roots to be exposed, potentially damaging any garden equipment you use such as lawnmowers. Irrigation systems and watercourses are also affected. If gophers are ruining your fields it can also be hazardous to farm animals that run and break a leg in one of the gopher holes. There's no doubt it can be frustrating to get rid of gophers but it's a task that must be done if you wish to have a nice looking yard or a usable field. I used MoleAndGopherControl to fix my yard and I'm so glad I did, it saved my yard from more damage from these critters.
Gopher Removal - What Methods Can I Use
There are a variety of methods you can use in gopher removal - it all depends on how sqeamish you are!
So you have a gopher problem in your yard, lawn, field or golf course. There are a few well known methods you can try to get rid of gophers
Fencing - often this is not practical as your area may be large. However small mesh fencing can be used to protect particular trees or gardens and plastic netting can be used to protect seedlings.
Repellents - Synthetic predator odors can be bought, but I don't know of their effectiveness.
Flooding - gophers are well adept at blocking off tunnels so this is not really effective.
Fumigants - same as with flooding, tunnels can be blocked off.
Trapping - usually quite effective but can require a bit of practice to become good at it.
Poison - need to be careful as gophers will often come top side to die and may be eaten by household pets.
Shooting - Not practical.

Gopher Removal
You don't have to pay for experts to do it for you... you can do it yourself.
If you've got the spare money then I would happily recommend you pay someone else to look after your gopher removal! Just like I'd recommend getting a cleaner, a cook, a chauffer, a nanny and a pool boy... if you have the money to do that.No matter how easy (or hard) these tasks may be to perform, if you've got the spare cash, why do it yourself?
But...
If you don't want to spend all your spare cash on gopher removal there is no need for you to do that. I used the Ultimate Mole Control system and it worked beautifully. So if you need to solve the problem yourself (and can't employ someone else to do it for you) find out the best way to manage Gopher Removal.
