Love Gospel! I have been in a Gospel Choir in College ,and we toured around our local city a bit, everyone was really nice we had all kinds of soul food at at least one church we went to, Outstanding! Was the youngest member of the First Pres. Church Choir, while participating in NYSSMA competions, all state and our Varsity Chorus at my High School, was also in Concert band, Marching Band all playing by ear, So Much fun!! Sight reading , not so much. Thank The Lord for rehersal and practice CD's :). Good lens. I look forward to returning when I can read longer.

I really like this lens. Especially when it comes to Christian music.

I liked gospel music since I was a kid and I still do. Of course, I like other types of rhythmic, melodic black music too -- I think they essentially belong to the same musical tradition, am I right?

OMG! I know you! Well, I know your choir parts business. Member of my own choir used you for a piece last year or maybe the year before that, but we're always telling the men, they have no excuse they can contact you!!! What fun!

And, Joan, I really appreciate your comments on my margarita lens. You're the best!!

Thank you for checking out The Free HIMbook, and for the blessing -- now I know that I have been blessed by God, of course, but it is always nice to have a SquidAngel's blessing too! Thank you. I'm going to roll on over to ChoirParts now . . .

Wow -- it would take weeks to get through all the good stuff you have here. As an assistant choir director, I'm intrigued by your work in making practice recordings . . . I am also deeply relieved that you are addressing the legal issues around distributing practice recordings. This is an issue that concerns me deeply as both an assistant choir director and a songwriter. I'm going to check out your practice CD lens, and I'll probably have more to say on this subject there. Meanwhile, great lens!
