The Joy of Gospel Music
What a thrill to the spirit it is to hear gospel music being sung from the soul. Most gospel choirs sing not only with their voices, but with their very bodies! No white choir could ever produce such a wonderful sound - and that is not a racist remark. but one of admiration.
The history of gospel music is of course steeped in the misery of the slave trade and apartheid. These things were really dreadful, but God brings good out of everything. Without those terrible injustices, perhaps we might not have had gospel music lyrics and songs in the form that we do today. Who knows!
