Got Mold Spores?

Breathe Deeply With No Worries

Allergies can literally make you a prisoner indoors and if your nasal allergies are keeping you inside when you would rather be out, you can make the best of it. Unfortunately, breathing in the air indoors can be no fun either.

Studies have shown that indoor pollution is actually much higher than the pollution you dread outdoors.

Pet dander, mold, and even household cleaners are considered to be among the major pollutants that are affecting the quality of the indoor environment. Mold is certainly dangerous because of the health risks involved not to mention the damage it can bring to your house.

Inhaling or ingesting mold spores could lead to a severe skin problem or may even trigger asthma attacks. It is very important to get rid of mold as soon as it is spotted the more sensitive you are to mold spore.

When life gives you mold spores use safe household cleaning products.

Getting rid of mold is not only a household issue but can also be an ecological one. From air pollution to deforestation, the environment is in a really rough shape. Now, across the globe, people are realizing how their daily choices impact the environment.

Our choices can come back to haunt us and threaten the well-being of our family.

As far as being environmentally conscious, most of us want to make a difference and you can start now. There are presently non-toxic lines for every type of product and the idea is that you can have your dream house and continue living in it without having to worry about damaging the environment. You might want to look up some of these products up for keeping everything in tip-top shape while protecting yourself and the environment.

Day after day without thinking about it, the respiratory system delivers life-giving oxygen to your body and even if your diet can fight respiratory infection and maintaining healthy lungs it is still not enough. The quality of your indoor environment is also equally important.

Getting rid of mold may appear to be daunting but it is doable.

You may be worrying that most cleaning agents can be toxic both inside and outside the home. You definitely do not want to contribute to a potential ecological problem.

Conventional household cleaning products usually contain chemical fumes or gases that can make you physically ill.

Companies that manufacture paint products are also coming up with improvements in order to protect the environment. They would rather do research and create environmentally safe products than have the biggest class-action lawsuit that could actually ruin their business.

It simply means that environmentally safe cleaning products are those that does not give off a lot of harsh chemicals or fumes and does not smell a lot if possible.

It also is safe if ever a child or a pet were to ingest it meaning that it would not hurt them. If it was spilled or it washed into the water system then it would not damage the water and of course the environment.

Every homeowner dreams of living within the sanctity of their homes without having to worry about mold and mildew.

Cleaning has always been a task that has to be done especially if you are a person who values the well-being of the people in your household and have individuals that are sensitive to mold spores.

However, it also understandable that when it is time for that cleaning up project, you cannot help but not look forward to that chemical smell of a newly washed floor or wall. There are now mold remediation products that totally removes any traces of mold and mildew and that worry of every homeowner for their well-being is easily and practically assured. Now, these products are also very affordable to come by.

People have become very ill from being in moldy environments. In Canada, about 10 years ago there was a great deal of public health concerns over toxic molds in the portables that children / teens are sometimes taught in . . very scary stuff.
Love the plushies . . . and the tip of humor!

Didn't know that about Canada but yeah. I can see why. Where there is green there is bound to be mold imho. Mold thrive where people live...or is it the other way around?! lol!

Very good information including that on Indoor Air Quality, but I must admit what I liked the most is the third of the three secrets you need - humor!

I hope you're talking about the toy and not the actual mold BigGirlBlue because I would not refer to the actual stuff as adorable LOL!

I've been plagued by sinus problems and earaches since the hurricanes a few years back. I'm thinking I should test my house for mold.
  • LaurenIM Sep 18, 2011 @ 4:52 pm | delete
It's always good to get tested, especially when your intuition is telling you that. In the meantime, here's somethings you can do yourself. Check to see which direction the air is blowing through your home (might be different per room). Then see if there's any dust that could become airborne in that area. If so, clean it, cover it, at least temporarily to see if your symptoms lessens.

If you have central air conditioning, make sure the air conditioner filter is clean.

Just a couple of little tips. Hope it helps.
