Goth Knitting Sorted by Type of Pattern

This is a sister site to my original Goth Knitting lens, specifically created for those who are looking for certain type of pattern (sweater, dishcloth, socks, etc). For the complete goth knitting experience, or for those looking for a particular theme or motif (skull, bat, etc) please visit http://www.squidoo.com/gothknit

It's still in progress, so please be patient while I get the links sorted out.

Fingerless Mitts (and some other mittens too)

Every goth needs at least one pair of these, and with the variety of patterns available, why stop at just one?
Lady's Victorian Mitts
This is a vintage fingerless mitts pattern--probably not for beginning knitters.
Lace Up Opera Gloves
Gorgeous fingerless opera gloves--laced up with ribbon.
Punk Rock Corset Gloves
"They are knit straight with shaping on both sides for the wrist, then finished with an applied i-cord for either side of the "corset" with extra spaces for the lacing holes."
Annlina Fingerless Gloves/Gauntles
A simple pattern for a fingerless glove/gauntlet--it extends up past the elbow. Perfect for beginners, showcasing a special yarn, or as springboard for using your own favorite stitch pattern.
Armstutzerl/Muffatees
Lace armlets ending in wrist ruffle. Pattern available in German or English.

Note: this is a pdf file.
Twee
"A little bit vintage" fingerless mitts. Site also has a longer fingerless mitts pattern, and a 'monster bag' pattern. Check it out!
Skull Fairisle Wristwarmers
"Skull Fair Isle pulse warmers." What more is there to say?

(The original link is broken, but from the current link Ravelry members will able to download a pdf file of the pattern.)
Spider Mittens
Not fingerless, but adorned with spiders on one side and spiderwebs on the other.

This site is in Swedish, but the pattern is available in English. Look at the sidebar, near the top, and you will find a chart, and some basic directions in English. Both are in pdf format.

Socks

And you thought socks were just to keep your feet warm? Socks and stockings are an excellent way to discreetly, or not so discreetly, display your goth side.
Twinkle Toes Socks
Toe-up socks which are supposed to be easy for beginners. Not intrinsically goth, but I like the lacy pattern.
Skull Socks of Fury
A fairly simple sock with a skull chart to worked above the ankle.
Jack Sparrow's Favorite Socks
Skull and crossbones socks pattern. I find these to be on the understated and elegant side of skull patterns.
Moth Heaven: Swab the Deck, Empty the Scuppers, Turn the Heel
Skull and crossbones socks again, this time with an argyle pattern. Bizzare enough to be worth seeing even if you don't decide to make them.
Skulleigh Socks
A sock pattern with a skull and crossbones intarsia knit in at the top.

Note: this is a pdf file.
Spider-Web Sockies
Note: It costs $6 to download this pattern (pdf). Even though it's not a free pattern I found these web and spider beaded lace socks too charming not to post.
Boo! Toe-Up Socks | Skyline Chilly
Ghostly knit sock pattern.

Hats and Headgear

Maggie's Rags - Witch's Hat
Free knitting pattern for Witch's Hat
Which Witch
An alternative witch hat--knit in bulky wool and felted.
Hallowig
A specific offering from knitty--a wig knit from acrylic yarn. Imagine this with a beaded fringe...
Monk Hat with Pattern!
A nice simple toque with a garter stitch edge.
I present to you a Very Silly Hat
A three-horned jester's hat, easily modifiable for as many horns as you prefer. I could see it in hot pink for punk, or black and silver for goth.
Stuffed Brain Slug Pattern
Brain slug, to be worn on a headband. Yeah, this is more on the punk side of things, but it amuses me.
We Call Them Pirates
This jolly roger festooned skull cap pattern is available in pdf in either English or French.
Jollyfish hat
A pdf chart of a skeletal fish, and some hints on turning this into a hat. Since there are no step-by-step directions this project would work better for experienced hat knitters, but others could apply the skeletal fish chart to simpler projects.
Cthulhu Mask
This is an untested pattern, but it looks interesting. If you try it out, drop us a line in the guestbook to let us know how it works.
Black Widow Headband
I'm not sure what makes this a 'black widow' headband, but it is shown worn with a charming plastic spider.

Note: This is a direct link to a pdf file.
