Swine Flu - Factory Farming Perfect Environment for Global Pandemics

The unclean and crowded conditions of BIG factory farms is the perfect environment to create Global Pandemics.

http://www.organicconsumers.org/articles/article_17792.cfm

"As Dr Michael Greger, director of Public Health and Animal Agriculture at the Humane Society of the United States, explains: "Put all this together, and you have a perfect storm environment for these super-strains. If you wanted to create global pandemics, you'd build as many of these factory farms as possible. That's why the development of swine flu isn't a surprise to those in the public health community. In 2003, the American Public Health Association - the oldest and largest in world - called for a moratorium of factory farming because they saw something like this would happen. It may take something as serious as a pandemic to make us realise the real cost of factory farming."

Every time I hear another story about some food being contaminated with salmonella-I cringe... My paranoid side even starts to imagine that the big farms-the BIG farms are somehow creating these contaminations on purpose... I know... I know... I won't go there that is not based on facts just my paranoia taking control! But everyone must be asking-hey what is going on here??? Why so many big contaminations??? And now we have Swine Flu...but instead of cleaning up to prevent new contaminations-and new antibiotic resistant bugs-the powers to be are going to start pasteurizing and irradiating everything! What that means is-there will not be any raw live foods left! And you say-so what! Who cares? Well you should care. Your body needs live enzymes and good bacteria to be healthy. Why do you think everyone needs to take probiotics now? We didn't used to have to take them cause they were in our food! Raw milk has good bacteria and kefir made from raw milk has tons more- up to 35 different kinds of good bacteria in the homemade kefir!

Our modern day diseases are directly related to pollution and nutrition so all areas concerning our food, and air and environment directly relate to our over-all health.

Also, The USDA has proposed legislation to require all farms or residences where animals are raised to be registered in a federal database under the National Animal Identification System (NAIS). The draft rule covers cattle, sheep, goats, and swine. It also sets the stage for the NAIS program to be required for everyone, including anyone who owns even one animal, for example, a single cow or even a chicken or horse.

It is vital that the USDA and Congress hear from the hundreds of thousands of citizens who will be adversely affected by the NAIS program. This includes not only animal owners, but also consumers who care about local and sustainable whole unprocessed foods, taxpayers who object to wasteful government programs, and advocates for a safer food system.

Take action today!

We should be able to drink and eat and obtain raw foods as they are very important for our health. Raw foods have important enzymes in them that we cannot get otherwise. Please write letters to your representatives so we don't lose our right to healthy unprocessed whole foods.

I have been drinking raw milk for about 3 years now. It has cured my IBS and constipation. Well, I have to give some of the credit to the kefir I make with the raw milk... but raw Milk is the best whole local food you can buy! Want to find raw milk? Go to this website for assistance:

In most states you need to join a cow-share in order to obtain raw milk. I belong to one. You buy part of the cow and then pay a set weekly fee for the cow's room and board. My initial buy in was $70.00 for a half share which is one gallon of milk per week and then my weekly boarding fee is 6.00. We pay the weekly fee, monthly. My cow's name is Isabelle and she is a Guernsey Cow. Guernsey's have a good amount of cream in their milk which is really sweet for making homemade ice-cream! We make homemade ice-cream and sweeten with stevia, which is an all natural sweetner. It is totally safe, as it is just crushed up leaves of the stevia plant and has been used for hundreds of years. Wow, I think I will have to make several more lenses to cover all these subjects!!! Anyway we make chocolate sauce using stevia too... I use cocoa, stevia, water and peanut butter for my chocolate sauce and it is to die for!!! When you buy Stevia look at the ingredients cause most brands have other things added in, but you can find brands that have only Stevia. Some brands just have alcohol and or glycerin which are ok but others have other ingredients that don't sound so natural-you know those names that you have no idea what they are-so I usually stay away from those foods. Keep it simple and whole.

So, a really good thing to do with your raw milk to increase the good bacteria is make kefir. Kefir is a cultured milk product similar to yogurt but instead of having 2 to 4 different kinds of good bacteria it has 30 different kinds of good bacteria! Yes, I said 30 PLUS! It is the best source of probiotics you can find, not only because of the shear number of bacteria but also, because the bacteria varies according to temperature and conditions! The more different kinds of good bacteria you have the better. In order to make kefir the best kefir with the 30 types of bacteria- you need kefir grains. I have grains and would be willing to send them to you for the cost of shipping and packaging. Just email me your address. Making kefir is easy! You just put the grains in some milk-in a glass jar and put it in the cupboard for 16 to 24 hours, depending upon the temperature, and you have kefir!

Another really cool thing we found out about raw milk is that is helps Parkinson's disease. My mom started drinking raw milk about 2 1/2 years ago and she would always comment to me that she felt worse when she missed her milk pick-up and didn't get to have it that week. Well, after awhile, she was diagnosed with having Parkinson's and I began my search for natural treatments for her, and well, I found where undenatured whey protein was good for Parkinson's because it has what the body needs to make glutathione, which all Parkinson's patients are deficient in. We have deducted that raw milk which has undenatured whey in it, also is good for providing the building blocks for glutathione! So now my mom makes sure not to miss her milk pick-up!

I really found out about the raw milk because my son-in-law has Crohn's and that is when all my research on how to heal naturally first began. I read the book by Jordan Rubin, "Patient Heal Thyself" who was dying of Crohn's and the doctors couldn't help and so he had to cure himself. His road to recovery began with good bacteria. It was a very interesting read... then I read his other book "The Maker's Diet" and that all introduced me to raw milk and the good bacteria in raw milk.

The designs you see here were inspired by my connection with raw milk and how it has helped me with my IBS, my son-in-law with his Crohn's and now my mom with her Parkinson's. So I love supporting the raw milk cause, and happy cows go along with raw milk cause the cows need to be grassfed and they get to live happy lives out on pasture. And also they also are allowed to have calves and to nurse their own calves-all that equals healthy, happy cows In other words they get to live normal lives eating what God intended them to eat-grass! Also, to do what God made them to do. So welcome to the Land of Milk and Honey! Now raw honey that is another interesting topic... sounds like the topic for another lense...

So glad to meet you,

Sandy
