My Personal Bout with Gout. OUCH!!!

One morning I woke up in excruciating pain near my left big toe. It was like my big toe was on fire. It all started the night before where I was sore of restless and had a hard time going to sleep. I knew something was not right but since it was in the middle of the night I just ignored it. As the night went on it was hard to ignore. Having the slightest thing touching my big toe hurt like hell. Even the breeze of the sheet coming off was very painful. I tried to get up and stand on that side and boy did I screamed like never before. I went to visit my doctor and he told me I had GOUT..

Gout usually attacks the big toe (approximately 75% of first attacks), however it can also affect other joints such as the ankle, heel, instep, knee, wrist, elbow, fingers, and spine. In some cases the condition may appear in the joints of the small toes which have become immobile due to impact injury earlier in life, causing poor blood circulation that leads to gout.

Great lens, Gout is a nightmare! It wakes you up with that throb and you know your in trouble. Then you try to put your shoes on only to find your foot the size of a football and the shoe won't fit. What a nightmare gout is. The best thing is to watch what you eat and go on a serious Gout Diet
