How to Buy a GPS - 5 Top Models to Buy Today

There are many different sites that provide reviews - Amazon.com, Consumer Reports, Epinions, PC Magazine. - The Nuvi 760 has a clear, bright, and crisp looking 4.3" display. The fonts have been updated and the graphics are much better than my olde C320. Everybody really likes the new Automatic Zoom in and out based on distance to the next turn and destination. A really nice touch is that your Personal Addresses display on the Map.

- The Garmin has a fantastic large colorful display. The voice is loud enough and Jill is easy to understand. The unit knows what side of major streets you are traveling on and took me straight to my test destinations. The Garmin 760 suction cup mount works well but I am considering a bean bag mount. Though it is a bit embarrassing I will admit to needing to use the find my car that is lost in a huge parking lot on two occasions already. It works!

- This ranks at the top of the GPS that I have owned so far.I had a TomTom One XL that was just used for around town. We now have the Garmin 255W and just returned from a 6 state trip and the GPS worked 100% - every turn, every stop - everything. I really like that it gives the the street name in the directions - not just "turn left" but "turn left on this street" Great GPS for the money, buy this one you can't go wrong.

- WOW! Saved us when we traveled to Illinois down to Orlando. While in Florida, we were able to get around without any delay. The traffic feature is awesome! We were always among the first there due to the quick reroute feature. Love this device! Took me a bit to get the hang of using the menus, by husband an kids caught right on - but that happens with me and all electronics. It is just awesome. Don't know why I waited so long to buy one!

- I have yet to find the perfect GPS, they all trade off something. Strong at this, okay at that. However, I will say that the 4350 is now at the top of my list of favorite navigation units. My only issue, and that just drops it to 4 stars is the sound quality when using bluetooth but is otherwise overall excellent. That one issue pales in comparison to all the great features!

- I love my Mio. Screen is really nice with a widescreen but still pretty thin compared to other units. I really like the database with lots of restaurants and stores preloaded. May not have the big brand name but it has a happy customer in me!
