Zeke Miller - Class of 2010

Ranked #5,249 in Parenting & Kids, #176,453 overall

Zeke Miller, high school grad

It's been almost 19 years in the making, and now the time is here:

Zeke has graduated High School!

He has had an incredible 4 years at Parkway North High, it is hard to believe it has come to an end.

Thank you to all of the teachers and staff at PNH and, of course, all of the teachers and staff at his schools before high school; without them, he would not have been nearly as successful in high school as he was.

Please join us, his very (VERY) proud parents, in congratulating Zeke as we celebrate this important milestone in his life.

What's he up to now

College and a business

Zeke has started classes in general studies at St. Louis Community College - Meramec. Right now he is just getting into the college groove and checking out all the options that SLCC offers, at all of their campuses.

Zeke also recently started up his own business, a video conversion service. No website or anything yet, he's keeping it local and by referral only until he gets all of his equipment set up and all of his processes figured out, but we'll let you know when he goes nation-wide!

DDR Roadtrip 2010

a post graduation adventure

Zeke's DDR Roadtrip 2010

Join us as we celebrate Zeke's graduation - and summer! - on Zeke's DDR Roadtrip 2010. We'll be stopping to dance at some DDR machines between here and NJ and back, and also to see some of the more unusual sites and attractions along the way.

Congratulate Zeke

on his great accomplishment

Were you one of Zeke's teachers through the years? A student that shared a class or an activity? Other friend or family?

If you can't make it to the Baccalaureate or Commencement Services (or even if you can!), leave a note for Zeke and let him know what you think of his achievement.

Hi Zeke, it's me Chelsie. I was your friend from School for Children. I'm the one in the pink and red shirt in those pictures. I want to say that I am so proud of you on your accomplishments and all the hard work you've done. I'm really glad that I could see you have graduated, you've grown to be a fine young man and I'm also happy that your parents are very proud of you. Seeing this makes me want to cry of joy and it helps me now to look forward to my own goals. I'll be thinking of you, keep up the good work.

Zeke you should be so proud of yourself. I'm so thankful to have had just a small part in your journey. You are an amazing young man. Always be thankful for your wonderful family. Your dad and mom and your brother and all the others who have supported you to this point and will continue to support you. I'm so glad that Ms. Amy let me know that you and your family were in town. I can't believe how you tower over me now. Keep up the good work and keep in touch please! All the VERY VERY BEST!

Gifts for the grad

Just one of many games on Zeke's Graduation Gift WIshlistUnlike weddings and baby showers I don't think "graduation gift registries" exist yet, but Amazon (and others) have the next best thing: the WISHLIST.

If you would like to send Zeke a gift in recognition of his achievement, a good place to start is his

Of course, gift cards to Amazon, GameStop, or the iTunes Store are always welcome, too!

Parkway North High

a great experience

The Parkway North High VikingsZeke is graduating from Parkway North High School, located in West St. Louis County, the home of the Vikings and the Robohobos, the school robotics team (more on them later). In his 4 years at Parkway North, he has experienced the wide variety of classes that have been available, from math and technology to the performing and fine arts. Zeke's favorites have been the math and technology courses. These fit in well with his love of video games and all things tech.

We would like to extend very special thanks to all of the great faculty and staff at PNH, especially Zeke's Ac Lab teacher Chris Preston and all who worked with Zeke. We must also give a shout out to the administrators, Jenny Marquart (Principal) and Rob Gough (grade level Principal) for providing such a great environment for Zeke, and all his classmates, to excel.

The Robohobos

Parkway North High Robotics Team

On the first day of high school - actually, the day before at Freshman Orientation - Zeke signed up for the Parkway North High Robotics club. That was the first year of the Robohobos and Zeke has been a part of the ever since. The first couple of years were with the BEST program, the last years in the FIRST program.

Here are some pictures of the fun Zeke and his team mates have had over the years.

Zeke's other schools

(before high school)

Before high school, Zeke attended two different schools, one here in St. Louis and the other in Eatontown, NJ where we lived before moving back home.
  • Zeke with his teacher, Mr. HartsookNeuwoehner School (2005-2006)

When we first moved to St. Louis, Zeke attended the Nuewoehner School.

This was a great year for him as we transitioned from New Jersey back to St. Louis.
  • School For Children (1997-2005)

Zeke and his teacher Miss IllariaWe lived in New Jersey for almost 10 years, so Zeke's early years in school were spent there. He attended a wonderful school, the School For Children, in Eatontown.

We can't say enough good things about the staff and faculty at this school and what they did for Zeke (and for us). One of the hardest things to leave when we moved back to St. Louis was this excellent school.

Graduation Announcement

Help us celebrate

The big day is May 11, 2010. Unfortunately, the location for the Commencement ceremony has limited seating and we can't invite everyone for the graduation ceremony.

We can invite everyone to the Baccalaureate Service, though. That will be held on Monday night, May 10 at 7:00 pm in the Parkway North High gymnasium.

Here's how the principal, Jenny Marquart, describes the Baccalaureate Service:

"It is a beautiful ceremony which includes student speakers, faculty speakers who were selected by the students, final performances by senior orchestra and choir members, as well as a slide show created by members of the senior class."

From what we've heard, it is a very nice, very emotional, more informal send off for the kids (wait, can we call them kids anymore, can we?) than the actual commencement, so if you can make it by please do. Let us know that you are coming so we can keep an eye out for you.

And, of course, we will have our own celebration of Zeke's accomplishment. We're still working on the place and date, we'll let you know once we've got it figured out."
