Grammarly Scam Detector/Grammar Editing Tool

Anybody ever try to learn a foreign language, and then see how that affects your first language? If you've never gone through an immersion processes or learning another language, you may not be aware of this, but you can become rusty in your native tongue! That is what has happened to me a few years back, and I definitely wasn't expecting it.

After the earthquake struck Haiti, I had a chance to visit the country for around six months with a group of doctors and contractors. We were going over there for to help with the medical conditions, and we were going to re-build a medical facility. Before I left, I purchased some tapes and a dictionary on Amazon to help me learn Haitian Creole. Well when I got over there we were sent to a village in the North where I did not hear English spoken for the majority of the day. I caught on to the language because it was so similar to French. I had taken French all through high school. I even got so good at writing the language that I even impressed the natives. My parents noticed also when I would email them. They told me that my English writing skills were getting worse because I was getting so good at Creole. Then I returned home only to find out I needed to fix my English grammar skills fast.

I started college about a week after I returned. The scary thing is that when I would write papers for my college classes my grammar and punctuation were terrible. I had forgotten so many of the grammar rules and exceptions. I was not using the proper citation methods when citing a source and it was looking like I was plagiarizing. And, of course, my spell checker on my computer was not catching half of the mistakes in my paper.

I spent so much time in the writing lab editing my papers that even my social life was taking a hit. I was desperate for a solution so I turned to the web and searched for some type of software that could assist me. I knew it was out their but did not know where to find it. I came across an article talking about the Grammarly Scam Detector/Grammar Editing Tool. I was very skeptical at first to spend money on something I had never tried before, but I decided to take a leap-of-faith and try it. I am so happy I did and this English grammar editing diamond has been worth every penny and I have to give credit to Grammarly for the product's creation.

Since I didn't know much about Grammarly or automatic grammar checking, at first I suspected it could be a scam because, well, I didn't know that something could be any better (or worse) that the built in Grammar tools in the word processing software I use. Boy was I wrong! Grammarly is light years ahead of the built-in tools that now looks like jokes and scams to me.

Grammarly is definintely not a scam, there is no 'Grammarly Scam', and it has saved me so many times with my writing since I subscribed to it. I love that it fixes my problems, but I love it even more because it gives me a to-the-point explanation as to why it wants to make the change; this has helped me brush back up on my English skills since first learning a foreign language. I would recommend this product to anyone who speaks English or who wants to learn English. I have seen this tool do amazing things for my roommate, whom is a foreign exchange student from Kenya. He also swears by Grammarly's product. We both spend less time in the writing lab, and more time doing things we love to do.
