It's amazing how fast Lady Antebellum has taken over the world of country music, and 2009/2010 were certainly unbelievable years for them. Need You Now is a rock solid sophomore album, which is sure to send them not only higher up among the country superstars -- but propel them into the pop music world as well.

Grammy Winner 2011: Eminem: Recovery

Best Rap Album

Eminem states that with Recovery he wanted to raise the bar and return with something that would silence his critics and reassure his fans that he was back to true form and better than ever. Recovery does just that. It's a deep and personal album, but better produced than Relapse and features some of his best lyrics and raps. If you thought Eminem had lost his edge, give this album a listen because it's clear that he has found it again.

Grammy Winner 2011: Arcade Fire: The Suburbs

Album of the Year

The Suburbs

Amazon Price: $6.99 (as of 05/31/2012)Buy Now

The Suburbs is a complete work meant to be taken in as a single, hour long journey between adolescence and adulthood. Longtime fans of Arcade Fire will always hold Funeral on a pedestal, untouchable by future releases, but just as children often grimace at being compared to their parents, The Suburbs is a masterpiece worthy of such an analogy.

I really like this lens since I missed it the show itself, so it's a good breakdown of the winners. Most I'm quite happy with actually, I especially think Muse deserved to win.

Wow, Rich, you did a fabulous job in a very short timeframe. I was intrigued by Esperanza Spaulding, so really enjoyed the video you showed here. Also liked hearing Mumford and Sons and Arcade Fire. Felt bad for Barbra Streisand. She's one of my favorites but she just really didn't do it last night, didn't seem to fit in at all. I would have liked it if John Legend and the Roots had performed!

Wow Rich you are fast :) I can't believe I missed the Grammy's for some dumb show.

Worked right through it, so can't say, but immediately thought of your prediction of the winning song once I got caught up on Twitter. :) Great update here, too, Rich!
