I bought this gun for my son as a present and now I love to use it. It sprays a good pattern and is easy to clean. Well constructed it's well worth the money. I guess I should buy one for myself and retire my old Binks 100a. I should mention that I've only used the gun with acrylics and Alklyd paints for woodworking projects. I don't have an opinion on it's use for an automotive quality finish.
Additional Comment: We've used the gun of and on now for six months and still like it. It's easy to clean. One thing I'd like to try is there is a .022 in. tip. I think this tip would be useful for thinned latex paints.

This is an excellent gravity feed spray gun for my wood turned pieces...much better than a larger spray gun for this type of work. it is easy to build very good layers of lacquer on curved and irregular surfaces. furthermore, it is well-made, easily adjusted and cleaned.

This sprayer works great and works well with my small pancake compressor. It is easy to clean. I use it with polyurethanes and cleanup up with mineral spirits by rinsing the cup and spraying the spirits through the unit into a rag which I then use to wipe off any overspray on the metal and the outside of cup.

Fuji 9600-G Fuji Gravity Xpc Spray Gun

Fuji 9600-G Fuji Gravity Xpc Spray GunThe new Fuji Xpc Gravity Spray Gun features a side pattern control knob to adjust the size of the fan from small to large and any size in between. The pattern control knob allows you to adjust to the exact size of the object you are spraying. This is a tremendous improvement over the antiquated 'collar' pattern adjustment still used on most HVLP turbine guns that do not provide fully incremental sizes.

Other desirable features include 100% stainless fluid components, stainless springs, metal knobs and collar, ergonomic handle that is always cool to the touch. 400Cc (a little less than 1 pint) gravity cup is installed - this is the ideal size for medium-sized projects such as cabinets, furniture etc. 1.4mm Air cap Set #4 is installed - perfect size for most fine-finishing.

There is no much to say, this tool is great. I does the job it was designed for very well. Setup is very easy, cleaning is easy and quick. Note: the air cap this gun uses in not compatible with the non-gravity model gun (at least the one I purchased 2 years ago)

We have had and used this for over a year now and have used this gun with an air compressor for the most part not a turbine and it works great! But keep in mind most compressors CANNOT feed this thing with enough clean dry air at these flow rates. We use a commercial Kaser rotatory compressor with a refrigerated drier and 80 gal tank that cost about $7500.00. We went this route as we already had the compressor and wanted to use it. Fuji tech staff is great and they were not sure it would work as no one had tried it yet on a compressor. So i did not mind being the test subject. Our set up works great but don't buy this gun for this application unless you have some serious CLEAN air available or it will not work!

This gravity feed spray gun is extremely high quality in every way, and get all the different tips for it to cover all applications, you won't be sorry.

Use this sprayer for custom kids furniture with the 2.2 mm tip and thin the paint. Mostly oil based enamels or metallic latex based coats. I get excellent results as long as the coats are dry between. I also use the 3M spray kit(disposable cups with filters built in) from Rockler for quick clean-up. Thicker material requires higher pressure unless thinned properly, but best results come from proper thinning and patience.

I own a small home improvement/remodeling company and use this gravity spray gun frequently to spray trim work. The Fit/Finish is excellent and it does a super job spraying. I had previously used an automotive style spray gun, it wasted ALOT of finish due to it's high pressure output and lack of adjustability. This new gun really does the trick for me and I wish that I had it along time ago. One trick I learned that works well...Oil-based polyurethane sprays well through almost any size and type of fluid tip, but because it dries slowly, it has a tendency to sag and run on vertical surfaces. To avoid that, I cut the polyurethane about 25% with acetone instead of mineral spirits, then spray a very light mist onto the wood and let it dry for about 10 minutes, (This gives the acetone time to evaporate and will leave a slightly thickened tacky film on the wood) I then go back and spray a very thin wet coat and let it dry overnight. The dried mist coat really helps the wet coat hang without sagging. Three or four coats of either water-based or oil-based polyurethane is usually enough for a medium-wear surface. With either type, sand between coats only if you need to for smoothness or if you've waited more than three days to apply another coat.

I just recently purchased the PSH1 and I must say it was a great buy. I had been using a traditional HVLP system that operated on 5psi. This gun has a recommended operating pressure of 43psi. My compressor recharged far less than I expected, very little overspray and I actually used less material than the old HVLP system. Many adjustments can be made including, pattern size, material flow, air volume and air pressure. Bonus features, easy to clean and the material filter which is optional to use. For those not used to a gravity feed, don't worry you will soon be impressed

HVLP Spray Guns - Atomization Technologies - Part 2
In essence, an HVLP gun is still an air spray gun precisely as it uses air since its primary atomization coerce. Both HVLP as well as conventional air spray guns make use of the same two components of compressed air, pressure and volume playing with ...
